Cold I: "Have we heard from Bravo Company?" "No, Sir, Bravo Company has gone cold since they've touched down." Cold II: "Theta Company? This is Big Pappa, we've lost contact with Bravo Company. We need you to go on a routine search and rescue mission. Minimal hostilities are expected. Big Pappa out." Cold III "Sir, whatever caused us to lose contact with Bravo and Theta... is now knocking on our front door." YouTube - Cold III Map Variant Game Variant
I'm not completely sure what I just saw in that video, There was a bunch of pictures with blurry affects, and a few scenes of people walking with one that has a guy assassinating his teammate then shooting at nothing. I need a better explanation on this map before downloading. The map looks good (from what I could make out) and possibly fun, peace out.
that wasn't a team assassination, the infected is invisible, killed the guy, and retreated. The guys were shooting at the infected guy, but he already fell back behind cover. But gee, I sure do feel honored that you said something nice there at the end! And I'm just curious; don't you think that since I have the know how to do everything else you saw in that video, don't you think I would have been smart enough to cut out that "team assassination" if it was really a team assassination? And why do you need a better description? Will your hard drive crash if it turns out that its a bad map? You already said that it looks cool, do you have something to lose to download it and try it out yourself? AND ALSO, don't you think that my going through the trouble to make this little movie thing says more about the map than any description could? I mean, I know that I could have typed out paragraphs and paragraphs about what everything is supposed to be and what you're supposed to do, but instead I decided "NO!" I decided to make a simple video, just to set the tone, show off a bit of the map, and include a few exciting things to intrigue viewers (As I did in posting Cold I and Cold II). If you don't like it, then you can poop on my pee.
No, it's just that the ForgeHub standards say that you must have a description of your map. Also, you will get more downloads if people know what they're downloading.
My video clearly demonstrats the map pics are embedded link is to specific map, not fileshare thread title is map name only and Min. Players: 04 Max. Players: 10 Supported Gametypes: Infection DLC Required: None (Default Maps) Canvas Map: Forgeworld Download Link: Download Now Custom Gametype Download Link: Download Now there's your brief description.
Mkay... based on what you have shown... why should I download? I need a reason to say, hey this looks like a pretty good map. I can't just watch a video with half of it being extremely blurred, another quarter shooting at nothing, and the last quarter having still pictures. From what you have shown, I don't know if the map is open or closed, I don't know if when you get infected you spawn as a zombie or not, I don't know how long the Spartans have to survive, and I don't know what the layout of the map is. Stop acting so superior and just type down the friggan description... it's not going to break your computer if you do...
Some might not like the way I posted my map, and some might not download it because there is not a sufficient description. However, I know that there are forgehubbers and guests to forgehub that are turned off when they see a wall of text. So instead of making a wall of text, and another wall of pictures, I decided to try something new and something that some may find interesting and appealing. Again, if you don't like how I posted my map, thats just fine. If this is the case, then clearly this kind of post just wasn't down your alley. I won't make you download it.
well you don't have to erect a great wall of china... you could just say hey, this map is very close quarters (insert picture) tell them what zombies do (insert an action shot) and then say why you should download (insert another action shot)
Since OP didn't listen to the rules, and because of the unnecessary spam, this thread has been locked. Message me, matitti, if you plan on following the rules and adding a textual description of the map and its gameplay. I'll open it again to let you edit it in, but if you still fail to comply, infractions will follow suit.
