~~~Rendered Video Demonstration~~~ I need your ideas for an invasion map to put this in. Comment with your idea below.
This is an awesome idea, I have done something like this with a friend in our invasion map we made last week or so, except we had explosives behind the door so they'd explode when the bomb went off, to make it look like a really big explosion.. but we didn't have any debris, except from the exploded explosives.. I think this idea is great and could be used for like an invasion against a big giant gate which leads into a big base or maybe even a castle. I like your thinking and I'd probably do that too, if I had enough budget left. I'd really like to know how you did this.

This is awesome... THINK OF THE INVASION POSSIBILITIES! (Oh i unno, brake through the front door of a castle to try to secure a territory or two to unlock a power system, shutting off the shield doors, letting you in to steal the core!)
I just really like the "effects" you have for the destroyed door which I havent seen yet, the only problem is the budget cost of this.. you should only put this as like a last thing to have because you possible might not have enough budget left for the rest of your map, awesome idea though, if you want I'll show you the map I made with my friend. Okay i tried doing this in the invasion map i made 2 or so weeks ago, except mine was blowing up the bridge. Mine was so it would blow up to finish off the 3rd phase, and I couldn't make it so scenery would spawn after the 3rd phase ended. I tried plenty of different things and none of them worked. Any ideas?
Well for your problem PwnsauceAddict, I have tried that too, and it doesnt seem to work, so the only way is to spawn it in after the 2nd phase. Because I dont think Bungie ever thought about that, even though for their maps, the Pelican or Phantom would fly away after the 3rd phase.. I believe more options should have been available for Invasion and Forge, lets just hope DLC will have that.
That was pretty cool. It actually sort of inspires me to forge an Invasion Map. I'll be sure to give you credit if I do.
I built one of these using rocks in my invasion map. The rocks actually made it more believable, and easier to build. The only thing I don't like is that the bomb plant point cannot be on the destructible door because then it floats there after the door is destroyed.
Too bad something can't have two labels, i'd set it to inv gate and inv objective, making it disappear after the door goes buh bye.
UPDATE: people asked, so i am including a link to The Map and The Gametype (REQUIRED!!!) You MUST play as a spartan (Red team) for it to work.
Use a hill marker as a capture point instead :/. I did this on my invasion map (now abandoned) where you have to blow up a whole base and wreckage appears at the bottom. I think the wreakage had to have the INV_VEHICLE tag or something, well I did that atleast.
