I don't know if this is a glitch technically, but there's no way it's intentional or even physically possible so I'll just call it a glitch. Anyway if you set player gravity to 50% on Zealot, you will actually rise in the space area. You heard me, like a balloon. It's not perfect, though, as on the ground you do something I'll call 'magnet boots'. Walk physics replace air physics when your feet are on the ground, so in order to lift off you need to get in the air somehow (like jump, or spawn in the air). This could make for some insane minigames, seeing as there's an invisible wall instead of a kill volume on top.

So, what can we do with this glitch?

There's another way to float infinitely: Jetpack, infinite equipment usage, and low gravity.
And you can do it on Forge World which has much more space.
I see where you are going, but the space is really too small to have good game.

Well, its not fun to use jetpack infinitely when you play bumper jumper, its just too awkward. I like using armor abilities as a last resort or hidden ace, not a necessary requirement for the gametype. It would be awesome if this could be implemented into a good game.

I was actually thinking of a situation where players couldn't touch the ground. Like, physically couldn't. It works exactly like a balloon, players can float around horizontally, but not descend.

You can put the one way shield door on the ground

I have two questions. Do you keep floating forever (do you never fall back down)? And is there a comfortable distance between the ground and the sky barrier?

'Cause if the answers for those two questions are "yes", then I have a really cool mini-game in mind!

Can you move around too, or do you just keep going in one direction until you hit something?

    Sorry, this is old news

There was a map (or preview, I can't remeber) about this a while ago. I'll try and find the thread later.

yes and yes! there are a couple odd ledges on the sides which could be 'landed' on but a one-way shield could easily render them untouchable.
