I didn't go to college this year. Being a bum is great.

 

a lot of people say its a good idea to take a one year break after high school to decide what you want to do with your life, then go to college.

 

..I heard it's horrible. You get so used to not doing work that when you get to college the work is even more overwhelming.

 

At harvard, if you are accepted, you can do a year of internships before entering as a freshman

 

Not a good idea in the long run.
