Added. Added after 8 minutes: No. There aren't enough teleporters in Halo: Reach, and some other things would get in the way of making it good. Feel free to enter on any map on the list. Added.
Just thought I'd check. I made the map anyway cause I really liked that area of the game. I'll end up posting it in the appropriate forums soon.
Portent? Hell yes, son. I'm already on it. And Yoyo V2 would be hard to remake due to the many doors and such that aren't possible in Reach. It would be easier to remake V1, would it not? Not to mention the budget would make it nigh-impossible... I'll stick with Portent.
You should make sure to include PC maps, too. I believe they were Gephyrophobia Ice Fields Infinity Danger canyon Death Island Timberland Also, I know it's a bit off topic, but I'd really like to see Uplift and District (H2:Vista)
V2 can be changed, it's just some aspects of it that are better than V1 that aren't impossible to do. It doesn't have to be a copy, we're looking for some creativity and originality in the contest. Anyway, I added you to the list.
True, V2 did fix many of V1's problems. I was a beta tester for both versions, so I can attest to that. =P (The ATV was better when it had boost.)
WHAT ??? No Death Island? That has got to be one of my ALL TIME FAV maps..... I wish Bungie/MS would put together a disc which would have ALL maps from ALL Halo games (console & PC)! I would pay a premium for that opportunity! It would be absolutely awesome to say the least *AND* a way for MS to squeeze even more money from us die-hard fans!
Death Island is included in the contest, but not on the disc. I am currently finishing a remake of it though, but it's not the same.
In my opinion what they need is a multi-disc pack that include all the campaigns redone so they have the same style (dual wielding and weapon inconsistencies), and fix a few story incosistencies (like brutes being in reach, then not H1, then H2 and H3) That would use 1-2 discs, I don't know exactly. Then there's the multiplayer disc with every map from every Halo game released by bungie (except the few where they were 95% similar, H1&HR gulch, blackout/lockout, and a few others) It would be awesome to include all these maps in one standard game (Reach-based so those who don't buy the package can download the maps as DLC) I personally would be willing to spend $100-150 on this, what would you all think?
