Here's our remake of Tyro Station from Gears of War! We replicated the layout, the weapons, and the majority of objects including the train. It took about 2 nights to make. The train is made with 2 kill balls spawning every 35 seconds. The basement is made with a rocky texture. The gametype, execution, involves your Gears of War style rolling, shotguns, and no jumping. Yum! You start with a spiker to represent the lancer. Around the map you'll find the concussion rifle (torque bow), the magnum, at the bottom of the stairs leading underground are grenades, and lets not forget about that darn old Hammer of Dawn (Spartan Laser) on the train tracks. Here's an overview of Tyro Station. Trains comin' The train plowing you over Spawn Middle of the track with the stairs going underground And here is the underground (the warthog is not drivable with the execution gametype)
I love it! (from the pics) Looks accurate and I really love how you were able to remake the train (sort of) 5 out of 5 first impressions
huh. you know what? its actually about 35 seconds. Mistake on my part in the description. I forgot what it was. Thanks for catchin that.
Dude! I loved this map on Gears 2, and I'm so stoked you re created the train, cause it's the highlight of the map. It would have been cool if there was a third person feature in Custom Game options, but I had a blast with some friends.
Thanks a lot!! If you want any other remakes from Gears or whatever, let me know and we will give it a shot. Added after 9 minutes: *Pics updated* Thanks for the downloads everyone!!
This map looks great except I don't like the kill ball idea other than that it looks pretty sweet. If you can remake Clocktower that would be so cool.
What's wrong with the killball? We weren't really sure how to recreate the train and this comes very close, aesthetics aside of course. Anyway, Clocktower would be pretty nice. We'll definitely look at that. Thanks for the feedback!
I don't know you could just leave the kill ball out, it doesn't have to be exactly like Gears of War.
Then what is the point of remaking something if it isn't Exactly like what you are remaking(Of course it can't be literally exact as the other game)
