In this thread I'm going to try my best to upload one picture that I've taken every day for the next year. If I miss a day, I will simply upload two pictures for each respective day. Feel free to give me any constructive criticism and any thoughts or comments about the pictures I've taken. I meant to start this yesterday, so I am uploading two pictures today. I'd also like to state that if any one wants any of the photos I post in their original size, please state so, and I'll post the photo as a vm on your profile. It's very easy to do using flickr.
I like the second one, but i wish there was some depth. Maybe, blur the right side? Also, I don't think your post will hold 365 pictures, you should have created 37 reserved posts, . jk.
I've taken Photography and I definitely have to say that I love the class, and is something I'd love to pursue in as a career, I'm still learning a lot of the basics. But so far some of the pictures I've taken have been of architecture, nature, still life, macro, and among a couple other projects I've done. Expect to see some variety. Picture wise, I'm going to try Photoshop my pictures to the very bare minimum, unless I feel that the picture could definitely use some touch ups, I'd like to take good photographs, not do good photo shops. Most likely each picture will get it's own post, atleast I think that's how I'll do it. And for today's picture...which happens to be one of my favorites so far:
Whoaaaaaa. ^^ I kinda wish that shiny part were more in the rules of thirds section (possibly top right)... and the background kind of seems like it's conflicting with the foreground... but maybe you wanted that? Anyhow, good luck posting every day. Hope it doesn't interfere with school/forge/etc
ER1CO, stop listening to people about the rule-of-thirds. It's propaganda, they want to consume you. The water picture is my desktop background.
But it's bettar composition... EDIT: Plus, I'm just trying to recommend some of the basics... I mean you can't just go blindly through photography without knowing what a lot of the specialists look for.

I took this during the first or second week of my photography class and I was just trying out some of the different modes, so I took the same picture once in every mode, just to see some of the differences, and this was taken on Landscape, and the security camera rotated towards me as the shutter went off giving the glowing feature as if it's moving(just like as if someone was walking and they get a blurry effect.
This is pretty much amazing. I know for certain that i would be hard pressed to find the dedication to do this kind of work consistently for a year... thats just cool!
I've only been in my photography class for a month and already have 300 pictures, not all of them are all really great, because we're limited to the same thing all the time, after walking through my school so many times you really have to get creative. I'm going to try and post as much photography taken at my school since we actually use professional slr cameras in the class unlike if I were to just use my standard point shoot at home. Yet, taking pictures at home will guarantee that I post one picture a day. tl;dr Yes man. Even if I miss a day, like I stated in the op I will simply upload two pictures the following day. Thanks man, I appreciate it!
Very cool. The water fountain picture looks awesome. Subscribed! I'll probably check back here once a week.
Not bad, maybe I can pm you some of my stuff I've been taking in my photography class, we seem to have similar ideas, maybe they'll give you some new ideas for pictures so you don't let this die out. Just today I took a bunch of pictures of my school while messing around with the light balance, shutter speed, and the aperture. So otherwise our cameras were on full manual, I'm pretty sure we use a nikon... not sure of the number though. Anyways, these are pretty good, they take some ordinary things and add some pizazz t them. God job.
Sure thing man, feel free to send me them. I actually tons of different stuff that will eventually get posted. As for shutter speed and aperture, I have no idea as to what that applies to in photography or how it even works. The only thing Photography wise my teacher has even taught us is the rule of thirds and how to use macro, pretty much it. Hopefully she quits goofing and actually teaches us the stuff you mentioned. Otherwise thanks man.
