Kashmir Highlands Link To Download - Here Link To CTF Variant - Here Recommended Party Size - 2v2 or 2-5 player FFA Supported Gametypes - All (except infection, but who cares about infection? amirite?) Description: Kashmir Highlands is a small 2v2 or 5 player FFA map that incorporates lots of cover and different elevations to create a (hopefully) unique experience. the majority of the flooring is made using walls, much like gradient, but the amount and placement of movable objects means that spawns are safer and less predictable. the layout of the map is relatively squarish, but it is not symetrical. each team has a base in opposite corners, which holds a plasma pistol and a spiker, in objective gametypes, flags, bombs etc spawn on the walls. this is all on top of boxes, the boxes continue to run out of the base along to the end of the map, on each side there is a plasma rifle, 1 spike grenade, 1 frag grenade and a BR, i tried to limit the amount of BR's and carbines on the map and focus more on dual wielding, because not many maps have a decent size or layout to allow the main weapons on the map to be duals, so i wanted to see if it would work here, and i think it did. in the centre of the map there is a line of double boxes which separate the two halves of the map, the mauler (most powerful weapon on map) is located at one end, and a power drain in the centre of the divide. there are four signs protruding from the central box to be used as cover and to cut off lines of sight. all the extra space is covered by walls placed so as to create a hill-like effect, the majority of weapons are placed on it, the same weapons are on both sides there is 2 smg's two spike 'nades a magnum and in the centre there is a needler and carbine. there is a lot of movable scenery (in contrast to foundry) which can be used four ways: 1. as cover, pretty boring but still a tactic 2. as a method of transport, jumping on the crates and dumpsters can get you across to the enemy base without touching the floor. 3. as an ambush, there is enough scenery to allow you to move around undetected and ambush your opponent. 4. and my personal favorite: as a weapon, we all know about the traffic cone incedent... it's very hard to describe this map so thats why i have... Screenshots a nice overview of one side, as you can see, it is quite cluttered, but it is good for the gameplay blue base during CTF view from inside the red base. the central dividing boxes. one of the bases Gameplay Screens The Gametype: the CTF variant is not essential to playing the map, but it suits the size better than default settings, it basically ups the winning score to 5 and changes the settings so that your flag must be at home to score, otherwise captures would be too frequent and would shorten games, the respawn times have also been shortened to suit the size of the map. the gameplay is very intense, and capture the flag maps feel "mini-epic" (don't try and make me explain) special thanks got to chipsinabox and Vicious Vice for helping me by helping forge, test and improve this map, they were really good about it. i have thought about everything on this map such as what grenades to place, and spawn placement. if there are any problems, please inform me, but hopefully there won't be any. i do not recommend playing territories on it because of the size.
I can see a lot of Gradient in this map, and it looks like you've done a pretty good job here! Gratz, Ivory.
sweet sig? where'd ya get it? Ivory, this map looks great. Looks even better than Fracctured. You keep improving with each map! I'm DLing now and I'll get back to ya.
Section I: Translating the post. My understanding of the above sentence would, roughly, translate into: "You advertised as well." Section II: Ascertaining the context. The user yomtvraps accuses me of advertising. Section III: Gathering evidence. Information regarding my observation: Information regarding his observation: Section IV: Judgement (Advertising [FH-Related Context]) The map creator goads on others to view his published map in the shoutbox. He may/may not emblazon a link in the Shoutbox area. Conclusion: Upon examining the above post by 'yomtvraps', after carefully working my way through the haze of spelling, grammatical, and other general crimes against language (Section I), after pondering and evaluating the meaning behind the user's post (Section II), and after laboriously researching the user's information against my own, it is demonstrated that above all, the users lack of knowledge about this system betrays the intricacy of the delicate system that is Forge Hub and myself. Edit: Anonymous -Repper gave an interesting point. I cited his information regarding his observation incorrectly. That has been fixed. And yes, it was a bit far. I realize that now. I was already in a dispute with this user regarding to his signature, and I apologize for my excessiveness.
Your lack of better judgment betrays you. Ivory, I'll check out the map later. I'm busy at the moment.
^that^, is why you should be a loyal nemi, pointless, yet hilarious come backs. and i'm sorry, but i didn't mean to advertise, i realize that it should have been a whispa, but, too late now very funny, i think i've seen it somewhere before as well... and if i wasn't improving, there would be a problem, and we'll have to see about it being better than fractured, the gameplay is less frantic on fractured but, fractured is more aesthetically pleasing, and lights, i used your "what would bungie do?" thread for the grenade placement, cause having 4 stickies just would be hell. and wii, the boxes are the right was up because of the symbols on the sides, the whyher pointed this out on the lockdown thread, i like them all being the right way up, it just works better IMO.

I've handed out a few warning for the personal insults. Any further insults get infractions. Also, map looks good. But better than Exacted? This I must see.

hurray for arguement bumping!!!! but seriously, this map does not look too bad, i'd say it is probably a really good 2v2 map
