1) Is it possible to remove the waypoints from land mines? 2) Is it possible to remove the waypoint from a checkpoint? 3) how Do i create spawn points in race were they spawn according to which checkpoint they are on. Right now People have to respawn on the check point but sometimes that means they spawn in the middle of the track.. yawdidIMean?
You can't remove any of the waypoints. You only see the mine waypoint just before you hit it anyway so it doesn't do much. The checkpoint waypoint is better to keep anyway otherwise you wouldn't see where to go next. You always spawn on the checkpoints. Spawning on the track is not that bad if the track is wide enough. You could put the center of the checkpoint off to the side so you spawn there but then the waypoint would be on the side too.
Im making a map that involves multiple checkpoints for each.... checkpoint. one way would be a secret short cut and if the checkpoints on that route had giant arrows hovering ominously over it, that secret short cut is no longer secret : (
But wouldn't that give people an unfair advantage when it comes to actually racing? People who have played the map before would always take the secret shortcuts.
If they are pro at driving, It shorter yes but the draw-back is that it is really hard to drive.. It takes absolute precision. Also my map isnt... normal. It is more of a competitive obstacle course than a race track. One lap, if done without any mistakes (which is rather hard), clocks in at about 6:00 minutes. If you take the short-cut it will bring that down to like 5:30 (If your blessed with some sort of divinity at driving). If your average you would in theory just go the regular way, for a faster time. When you play race, landmines are highlighted with a waypoint... Im trying to turn those waypoints off. It has nothing to do with the way points over checkpoints...
Well if you were to put the checkpoint before it very close to the entrance of the shortcut then people wouldn't be able to react in time to take it unless they already knew about it. For the landmines put them in places where you can't dodge out of the way in time when you see them.
