Has anyone been able to do anything similar? You know, having an object such as a teleporter and then a barrel. I'm trying to make something like that (not exact) but having no luck. I need something the humans can push to close but yet the zombies can still open it.
Another horrible game I wish would stay in Halo 3... Use mongooses if you're hard up for making this map.
I'm not particularly familiar with the map in question, but you should be able to replicate the movable blockades with the wealth of movable objects in the scenery category. The Crate and Barrier sub-categories should suffice.
Are the covenant barriers movable? I know the crates are but they are heavy and would take a while to budge.
Yes they are movable but take a while to get going but it's a bit lighter than the Heavy Crates you mentioned. You could try placing them at just enough of an angle, maybe about 20/25 degrees from the entrance. Just to get in smoothly, and wouldn't take too long. They can also break, so you might be able to use the extra space at the top to your advantage if the zombies can break them.
Blasphamy! L4D was, by far, one of the best Infection games. Unless you are thinking of the crappy one with one-hit zombies and unlimited ammo. The best one was the five or six buildings on Foundry. The initial rush for the safety of the buildings was so intense. And if a door shut before you got there, that was it.
You can set the objects in scenery to normal, and I think they are movable... Never liked L4D myself. Don't choose the really big objects as they are difficult to move and might set in place. Dumpsters work I think.
Lol. I feel the same. When i noticed someone was playing this, I was always intent on playing, just because it was good old fun. I'm trying to remake it slightly but with a different kind of feel.
I was so depressed that we were able to place Dumpsters on almost every map EXCEPT forge world. And we still have no soda machines. Sadface
Soda machines like that level in halo 2 i had forgot about them till now, spent hours moving them to make a base each game But those barrels where horrible! doors I dunno why you would want to recreate them i would suggest the better "switch" doors more complicated to make and a lot better looking and work a lot better. The previous halo 3 switch doors should work in halo reach with tiny adjustments. Maybe a RB switch door that shuts automatically but to re-open takes a while to open?(since we get a lot of propane tanks this time)
I was thinking of doing something like this but I came up with a slightly diff idea... If possible, set wooden pallets in doorways vertically (so it looks like a boarded up door) and set them to a diff sequence to spawn. Start the "non-zombies" inside a defensible structure and have them only have a pistol or something and have a shotgun (set to quick respawn, for ammo) in the middle of the room and set the shotgun to start the next sequence when picked up. Start the "zombies" in a closed area on the map with no way out until the shotgun is picked up (have a teleporter spawn or a wall removed). The zombies will have to bust through the wood pallets, like a door, but the non-zombies wont be able to open the door per se.... but can bust through them as well. maybe even have the pallets to respawn kinda quick. Makes me think of **** Zombies on CoD. Dunno if this is possible or not.. just a brain flutter.
I saw dumpsters on another map and I thought the scenery options were the same for all reach maps. Darn.
