Yes, I did. I spent about five minutes looking around errera and then I realised "Oh, this is Crater, but more epic..." I vote for club errera to be a firefight map. But instead of having to kill Covenant, you need to out-dance them.
I only just looked at the Easter egg for myself. My favorite Halo egg I've ever seen. On another note, I think either Matchmaking is messing up or it's just me. It says there's only like 1500 people online. Does it say this for anyone else?
Looks like the first map pack is done and it will be adding ten new achievements for a total of 250 gamerscore points. (I only say its done because i dont think they would add the achievements to the game if the map pack wasnt done yet) Just scroll down to the "What a Load!" section and its in the last picture. fixd. and id also add reflection to that list. and pinnacle. for the most part, the halo 2 remakes play like trash in reach. also, i cant wait for the playlist update when they remove SWAT from team slayer
I can't wait for them to remove SWAT from Big Team Battle. It sounded like fun but it didn't turn out as good as I thought it would. Especially on Hemorrhage
It's worth remembering that with the heroic map pack in halo 3, it costed nothing, and the maps were awesome. call me fussy, but I really dislike most of the launch maps.
The launch maps were mostly average. There are quite a few duds, namely Zealot, Hemorrhage, Ascension, Boneyard (core gametypes) and Sword Base (never liked that map anyway). Hopefully they'll release a lot better maps in the next map pack. I'm personally hoping for a Death Island remake. Maybe even a Sidewinder remake?
From what I remember, it became free around March. About a month before the Legendary pack was released.
And that is far from an amazing, breathtaking map. If the new maps contain just remakes, I'll be disappointed. They need to invent new smaller maps, like guardian.
Zealot and The Cage aren't remakes. Zealot is a spiritual successor to Heretic/Midship, and The Cage is a spiritual successor to Guardian/Lockout, in the same way Valhalla was a spiritual successor to Blood Gulch/Coagulation. But Zealot is very similar to Heretic/Midship, except of course the part in space.
Well, then. Perhaps a better way of putting it is that there are almost no truly original new maps in Reach.
