After several frustrating hours and thought, I am pleased to finally be finished with my first attempt at a Forge Map. There is no particular reason why, but I have titled it BattleStrats Crucible. It started off as just a floor floating over the ocean and gradually turned into a multi-level map. I have tried to create it so that it is balanced and that no one team has a clear advantage. The map is large and will support 16 players and has several multi-story buildings, ramps, jumps so that you can easily maneuver the map. Aside from the ground level that everyone sees at first, there is a basement level which can be accessed from multiple points around the map. This allows a lot of variety when playing objective based games that make you move from one end of the map to the other.

I ask that you please LIKE the map if you do enjoy it so that others are encouraged to download the map.

Wow, this looks great! I especially like how neatly it was forged. Downloading now, great job!

No Invasion was about the only gametype we didn't set up. I have not had much experience with the gametype so I didn't feel comfortable setting one up

I can see that you haven't really found out how to use the Edit Coordinates button. Haha. Not bad for a first map, but the forging is a tiny bit sloppy. A lot of the objects on the map are a little out of line, either too high or too low, etc. But, with a first map like this you are showing promise. Also, it is evident that you aren't really aware of map flow or weapon placement yet. The map is very wide open, leaving little cover for players engaging in combat, but I do like the parking garage. (thumbs up) also, I noticed that there aren't many regular weapons on the map just power weapons (that's waht i saw from the video, maybe there are some). Which leads me to my next point... I mean come on! A grav hammer and a sword in the same room!? You just can't do that (unless you want someone to camp the basement with a sword and hammer and kill everyone down there). That's like those little kids that put "armories" on the map with every weapon inside it. Also, you can pick up the sniper then mancannon straight too the rockets? That's also a no-no. Much like the grav hammer/sword combo, it will make a superplayer that will control the game. But, hopefully my criticisms won't discourage you from forging because like I said, if this is your first forge map ever, you show a lot of promise in the future. <3 Kwamz

    P.S. Don't hate me :)

Actually I used the Edit Coordinates constantly - The sad part was that even when you use edit coordinates - not all of the objects will align perfectly. Something I plan on showing when I create a video for it. Feel free to try and align some of those floor tiles together cause I would love to see it done.

In order for everything to align perfectly, Edit Coordinates has to be used on every object involved. And although I like your map, I don't think I have the patience to go in and realign everything :)

Again I am not sure how much time you have spent with forging because this is simply not true unless I am completely missing something

Great job!!! But he's right... sometimes the blocks don't line up just right. Even if you use edit coordinates, it's never perfect.

No, you don't... Most of the time you won't want to because it will create really nasty clipped edges. Just use the precision edit by holding down the left joystick. Edit coords is good for getting things in the same area but not for precision forging.

In the rocket tower there is a health pack floating from the wall. And a wall is sticking out in the upper left corner (facing the main land). I don't know if these were meant to be so just saying.
