You may remember my 'first real' Halo 3 Map, Neon Sun, a tiny, bad Conquest Map. You also may remember my first Halo 3 feature, eden, a beautiful, bad Conquest Map. Conquest has been an inportant part of my Forging Career ever since I heard about it, so I decided to continue making Conquest Maps in Reach, ladies and gentlemen, this is Lazarus
Nice I really like the center room. since its on the rock I'm assuming it has a grass floor. It'd be cool to see it with water in the bottom. maybe some red lights to make the water scary or something. I was wondering when some conquest maps were gonna come out. I may have to try my hand at making one, never tried before.
EWWW LD, that looks terrible... I mean, who has a giant blue floating chessboard in their maps?! Lmao jk, give me a shout if you need any testers.
The giant blue chess board is the floor of the middle room, together with the wall right beneath it it creates a some sort of 'laser barrier' on the ground. You are not able to see the grid anywhere else. The reason that it is on thepillar is simple, I'm no fan of floating maps, it just looks a lot nicer when a map is build on something
It's conquest, a custom gametype, so there is only one route to go and several touching territories on the map, therefore the 'bland' geometry.
Dangit! I was going to make a structure just like that in my next map! I hate you! Lol, I'm serious I was going to do build something just like that. Anyways, it looks great. Really nice. I know that those falcons are for aesthetics, but are they really necessary?
Has Conquest even come out yet? You shouldn't get too deep into detail until all of the settings and what not are available. Then again, you are LD, and you probably know what your doing(?) Congrats on what's looking like a great map, love the ceilings.
Well, your forging talent has really transferred well. I loved your H3 conquest maps, not just in terms of aesthetics, so I have high hopes for this map. Also, +1 for aesthetic Falcons.
Yoyo wanted to make one of the roof structures too xD The falcons are out of reach, there is a glass wall between the actual map and the platform so they are no problem at all It hasn't, but Gunnergrunt and GodlyPerfection are testing the map and the gametype at the moment, expect this to be the first official Conquest map, I will release it together with the new gametype if everything works and Lazarus plays well.
