You can't put the level right up next to the waterfalls because it is outside of Forge World's boundary.

As for the level, I would try to cut down on the overlapping pieces, especially in the middle if at all possible--two pieces sharing a plane seem to really be a frames per second killer.

This remake looks pretty good. I like how you made everyhting perfect. Of course you cant please everybody.

My favorite is the bottom mid part. it looks really nice with the center piece and the corners where they were in lockout and blackout.
    9/10 for sure

    and MAKY...
    lockouts bigger ^_^

I HATE maps made by the waterfalls. The waterfalls are so loud that to me the map is unplayable.

I wear Sennheiser headphones when I play. The water is unbearably loud. A lot of people game with headphones/headsets so I think forgers should take that into consideration before forging near the waterfall.

    This is so true.

OP, I've had a look at your map (haven't played any customs on it yet though) and it's not 100% perfect. Never call your maps 'perfect' anyway as nothing is ever perfect. Been comparing it to Halo 2's Lockout running them side by side and sniper tower needs to be closer to the main centre and more to the left (looking at sniper tower front on). The room under sniper tower is also too big and elbow is not angled. Why do people keep angling elbow? It's square! And there's a ton more incorrect stuff. Anyway, you did say this was a hybrid between the two. It's a good map I'll give you that but it isn't a perfect re-make of either Blackout or Lockout.
Last thing, why are you people using fusion coils? The sound they make drive me crazy! The covenant's version of the fusion coil (forgot what they're called) are better IMO. Less noisy.

Fusion Coils = DO NOT WANT.

It is the dumbest thing ever. I hate Bungie for using it. Oh well, MLG playlist should be up on October.

I love it. Whether or not its an exact remake doesn't really matter, you have made a very detailed playable map and included all the little jumps and ledges I'd expect.

I've downloaded several Lockout remakes, this is by far the best.

yeah it is not perfect but i was being a jerk to all who said it wasnt. as for the blue light it is less distracting than green. green turns the entire bottom mid green also. the fusion coils i hate but they r there so u can remove them or not. and someone nailed why i didnt put it by the waterfall. it is so loud i cant hear people talk on my turtle beaches. also elbow is angled because i ran out of peices. i have made great changes to my snipe tower, it is closer and you can now throw nades into it from top lift. message me if you want the better version. ii maky ii

I did noticed the FPS slowed down in some areas. Also, you should put a kill zone on the top of the air lift structure. A sniper up there has too much advantage and it takes away from the gameplay. Other than that, this map is awesome. By far the best Lockout remake thus far. Having all the jumps really helps the gameplay feel like Lockout.

I think that some people are going over board with the "it's not perfect". "This is slightly bigger, and this is slightly smaller". It looks like Lockout and more importantly it feels like Lockout. Bungie doesnt make their remakes 1:1. Making it block by block the same might not fit the Reach Gameplay. But at the same time I think that the author needs to handle the criticism a little better. The people in here are trying to help you make the best map possible and thats it.

Did u really have 3 TVs and 3 360s going?, that's crazy. Good remakes can be apprecieated by all halo fans, so as a big halo-aholic its awesome that people go to such lengths. I was laughing reading the back and forth between Maky and MickRaider, they both show ALOT of passion for lockout. Imagine if they made a lockout remake together? I could just imagine them arguing little details for hours and out of that cauldron of fire who knows what they could come up with. Actually I think Forgehub should do a Lockout remake competition, a bit much for one map but it is the most loved map. But anyway, you asked for feedback and ideas, so this is just my take on it, I've played alot of halo over the years and forge when I've got time.

First of all I really like the map, you really captured alot of the visual feel of lockout. Seeing this map was to some of my forge-ignorant friends, the first time they realised the awesomeness of forge 2.0.

Sorry dude, I didn't like your shottie tunnel, the shield doors are a little distracting and it needs to be in some way green. The aesthetics are spot on, but I personally would have went the route of better geometry then aethetics - its a balancing act though and up to personal taste. But you did say that the elbow was angled because you ran out of $.

z buffering on the side of the lift building,snipe2 railing and on some of your bridges, nit picking I know but this is lockout.

It seems like there is an important line of sight from sniper1 looking down at the elbow and that the cover there was higher in halo 2 but I broke my old disc so can't be sure, and that's probably from blackout?

And there is definately something going on with the framerate when you look at the center, I wouldn't mind if glass had to be sacrificed to fix that.
