i tried the territories label, it didnt seem to work, i set up 4 objects all with the box (width, length, top, bottom) and labeled as terr_object and tried the game. Instead, the objects set as territories have disappeared in a custom game. Please help, this map looks kick ass, once this territories is set up, its str8 to the TRC.
Is there a specific item for Infections spawns or a specific color or something? Because I can not find it.
A few questions: I noticed that when you hold 'Back' in an Invasion game fireteams are not shown anymore, so are they actually in the game and do I need to set the spawn sequence on my phased spawn zones to reflect that? Sometimes people in my game will spawn at the initial spawn of the second phase even though that initial spawn is set to the second phase (sequence and label). Do I even need initial spawns for the second phase? Should I put down eight initial spawns for each team at the beginning of the first phase instead of one surrounded by regular spawns? I'm confused on backfield vs. phased spawns. I want to set a main spawn point for each phase, which can also be used during the later phases, along with spawn points that can only be used during a specific phase. How I edit my hill makers to accommodate that?
I believe that for Race, "race_spawn" along with a spawn sequence corrosponding with the appropriate checkpoint, can make objects like a vehicle or weapon spawn. Not positive, but it seems to work.
yeah, how exactly do you make a safe haven in infection? There's nothing which says like safe haven zone or anything like that, if i cant get these bloody haven's then i cant make this infection map work
Im not sure if Im doing something wrong, but I cant change an object labels... I got to advanced, go to game type label, then try and go left or right but nothing happens, its stuck on "No Label". Anyone know what Im doing wrong? NVM lol im stupid, I had the gametype set to basic editing
Has anyone figured out how to get king of the hill to work predictably? It always starts on the wrong hill point
Hello Folks! On Invasion slayer, when you take over a hill, spawn the weapons / vehicles. Is this possible in Infection?
You might want to rename your thread to how to set up gametypes or something... There are still a LOT of people posting questions asking how to set up gametypes as they don't understand your title. Even a journo didn't know this topic told people how to set up gametypes when I stated it was stickied in forge discussion. I set up a similar thread with a different title as I didn't know you'd beat me to it, so it's just a heads up that you'll want to rename the title to something a little more understandable.
I've got two questions: Does anyone have any specifics on setting up Invasion Slayer? The only information I found was that we needed to create hills whose object label was respawn zones. Do they need to be hills, or would respawn zones work if their label was correct? Do we control which weapons/vehicles drop with the object labels? I'm trying to do Invasion Slayer on a map where tanks would be less useful, but air vehicles way more so. Thanks. 2nd Question: I'm having trouble getting assault to work correctly. I have two bomb plates, one at each base. These are set as AS_GOAL with a normal cylinder area. Because an object can't be both the Goal and the Bomb spawn, I put down a hidden flag stand (inside the bomb plate) and set it to AS_BOMB. My problem is- the bombs spawn just fine, but Halo acts like there's no goal. Does AS_GOAL need to be a hill? Sigh. Running out of hills.
Doh, I can't believe I remembered to test it this way with CTF but forgot to in Assault. Thanks Stevo.
Can you change how Invasion Core looks? The cores in Boneyard and Spire are diiferent so can you change them?
So I've been trying to figure out the CTF and Assault spawns by looking at Bungie's Matchmaking list maps (pulled from Local History). As far as I can tell- Bungie isn't even using them. Does anyone know of any maps with concrete examples of their use?
Had the same problem just hours ago, it might be that the symmetry of the plates aren't set on "both". That was my problem at least.
