To start this off, Spoiler kat's death = ROFLMAO, seriously, she was fighting a whole covenant armada and she dies by 1 needle that magically goes through her head. 2nd: Gorjge (or how ever you spell it, YOU KNOW THE BIG GUY). I found that part kinda meh because why let the prestiged veteran die and let the "Rookie" live? Stupid honor code The sniper: Totally forgot what happened to him, died right? stupidly right? yeah thought so. Emile (A.K.A. mister badass): Should not have died that way, that was just bungie trying to find a way to kill off a beloved badass, you will be missed Emile :'( The leader: I kinda lol'ed at that one, scarab musta been like "OH **** FO REALZ? BUNGIE SCREWED ME OVER AGAIN?" and ka-blam! Finally, Rookie: I personally thought that that mission was the best, I'm probably gonna try and spend days on it trying to beat it legit-ly on legendary cuz I liked it so much, loved the intensity. Spoiler *Unrelated note*: The drop shield looks really overpowered no?
Haha, I enjoyed reading that I thought that Georges' death was pretty epic. Believing he was winning the war an' all. I also lol'd at Kat's death. Such a quick and random way to die after so much fighting through hordes of enemies. And I agree, Emile's death seemed kind of forced, like bungie were in a hurry to kill of the final guy. And the leader? I thought that was the worst, most uninteresting death. Just the way it unfolded seemed like it could of been a whole lot more epic(er? ) The emotion in his voice didn't really seem to suit the situation that was occuring on my screen. But all in all, the campaign for me was incredible, a beautiful way to end an amazing series of games.
Emile was useless in combat. Well, all of the squad mates were, but he was especially. Useless ****ing shotgun from a distance while I'm trying to take down two hunters alone.
Yeah. From what I heard, he was the most experianced fighter of them all. He was rated "Ultra Lethal", which is a rating that only he and the MC have. He was renowned for his ability to "Make whole Militia groups dissapear." I think we're all a bit too used to ODST. My Two Cents, HarisSales.
I thought Kat's death was just kind of funny/stupid. "So now our main mission is a demoli-" dead. I was kindof confused as to what just happened. Jorge's death was epic but expected. Carter's death was epic enough for me, and I didn't see it coming. Emile's death didn't seemed forced to me. It seemed like bungie wanted to show the odds you were up against. Noble six had a the most epic death of all. Survive. It was cool to see that pop up on the screen, knowing you had no chance of surviving. Jun's death....did Jun even die? He ran off with the doctor, and then?... Obviously the least epic, assuming he did die.
the leaders death was fine, but how the hell did he get injured? you are shooting guys out of the rear of the plane, then all of a sudden he is critically injured? WTF? Sure there are probably several ways you can explain it, but the fact that it wasn't shown was rather lame
Amen Ladnil. I ran out of ammo with good guns against the hunters so I had to use a plasma pistol. It took him two or three minutes just to get over there and start shooting them in the shield. It took me about ten minutes with shooting a plasma pistol and Emile shooting, it took forever. Jun I don't believe died. He went off with Halsey.
Jorge's death was great. He had a mission. He completed the mission by sacrificing his life. Probably the best character in the game. Kat's death was kinda random. Getting sniped mid-sentence out of nowhere. Carter's death wasn't that bad either. Similar to Jorge, he sacrificed himself to complete the mission and keep Noble Six and Emile from being slaughtered by the Scarab. Emile's death was fitting. Being overrun by Elites, fights them off and gets stabbed in the back. I'll admit that it brought a smile to my face. Emile is loser. Who fights mid-range with a shotgun? I'm certain that about 95% of people that like him only do because he has a skull on his helmet. Noble Six's death was awesome. 'Nuff said. I assume Jun lived. I'd said he and Dr.Halsey managed to get off Reach before it was glassed.
From what I remember reading on the bungie forums, the planet had started to be glassed by the covenant, and their sheilds were down due to that. It was a very well timed death for her, letting you know that the squad is never truely safe, even when they have a plan and there isn't any danger. In war, any cheap blow is still a good one. The death was unexpected but seemed to fit well. A very sad event. I think jun went with halsey to escort her from the planet, its perfectly possible he is still alive.
Why did Jorge have to die? I was expecting him to be next to mowing down elites on the last level. Still, it was sad seeing the best character die. Kat's death was uncalled for but it happens. What bugs me is how there wasn't any sorrow for Jorge. Carter gave his life for Reach as well. Taking care of the scarab. He was a great guy too. Emile wasn't expected either. His death was great too though going down guns blazing. Noble six was the best being ganged up by a dozen elites. But what happened to Jun exactly?
All in all, Jun ends up being the guy running away with his tail between his legs even after he talked so big :/ still think emile died badly and yes I like him because of the skull lol.
I agree with all of what you just said. When Jun died I was exremely disapointed. I had no idea how the f*ck he died or why but I know he died because obviously he was no longer there. My friend said that he died in the big crater that was formed in the distance in that scene shortly after he left. But IDK.
So that would mean Dr. Halsey died aswell right? I get the feeling that he survived. I haven't seen any proof that he died so that's what I'm going to believe.
I like the opening sequence to the game especially when it shows that helmet stuck in the ground right before it says "REACH". If you notice the helmet is the same one your character has equipped. So, from the beginning you know the end.
Cater: Overall, a great way to go. His voice didn't reflect, completely, what was about to happen but within reason. Though, when did he get hit? He was fine, there was a fade, then he's shot in the stomach. Kat: Caught completely caught off guard. Imediately after was underwelmed. Hindsight, it was good to have one die in a non-epic way. It shows the Spartans are human and killable at any time. Jun: He is definitely left to the imagination. He is last seen with Halsey, who we know survives. Until Bungie says something, he's legitimately MIA. Emile: Definitely fitting for his personality. Fighting and defiant to the very end. Jorge: No other way it was going to end. Perfect for a Spartan-II. Dieing protecting his home. Noble 6: Awesome and emotional. The objective: Survive. The damage your helmet takes in play. Taking 4 Elites before being over run. It's definitely the best, and it should be. You just played as this character for an entire game. His death should be the most epic and emotional.
