    Ok so if you have downloaded my map before, go ahead and download it again. People exploited my map and I have fixed it plus changed a few guns.

    I am happy to announce that after I was fileshare banned, I emailed an apology to Bungie and they gave me my filesharing back. So now I have taken some pictures, tweaked my map, and am ready to write up a proper article.

    I stood for two hours in the rain, Reach was finally going to be mine and forge was the first thing on my mind. When I got home and took out my design that I put a lot of time and effort into. It was perfect, I originally forged it in Halo 3 but bugdet restrictions and the patience needed for Halo 3's forge were over-whelming. Eventually getting fed up, I stashed my design in a drawer, almost forgotten, but not entirely. At midnight I popped my game in and went straight to work. It took about half an hour to learn the new tools. At first I thought that the new forge was worse then halo 3's but now believe that Bungie truly did revolutionize their crown jewel to what makes halo so dear to me.

    About six in the morning, I was tired yet determined. I didn't anticipate the colliseum being to small for my design. So I stopped forging and spent an hour on redesigning it. Finally content, I went back to forging, then around eight in the morning another problem stood in my way, the item limit. If the walls on my map did not touch the ceiling my map would be broken. So I decided to use blocks as walls, that worked temporarely until I had a new problem, not enough blocks. Stopping again, I pondered my situation, now I was out of blocks and walls due to the item limit. Looking through my choices, I found nothing left but buildings. I had nothing to close them off so I decided to over lap them, using one to close another, which is what I used for the main lobby.

    Everything in the end paid off and my first map for Reach was finally complete. I am very satisfied with the end result and I want to thank everyone for the feed back and encourage you to download it again now that I have tweaked some weapons and added some kills zones that make or break the map. Here are some new pics and a weapons list.

    If you had read the post instead of skipping straight to the picture, you would have known why I cant upload any more pictures

    It's a pity about the file share ban, we can't really see much of the map from that picture. Oh Well. Congrats on making the Very first competitive Halo Reach map for Forge Hub!

    Perhaps you should try and make your post more legible. Use good paragraphs and design, and people will purposly read it because it looks interesting. I fancy mysef the type of guy who enjoys reading Map Posts, but this was a bit too much. Also, there is no reason not to get a friend to use his fileshare to get the pics up. It's a bit extreme, so I'm not holding you accountable, but it's just something you should consider.

    I know everyone is excited for Reach, but we must realize that patiance is a virtue. Use your time and go for a decent post. It will pay off with dozons of similar looking maps coming out every day.

    K, I downloaded the map and took a few more pics. I want to say that its REALLY hard to take good pics of this map because its very enclosed and tight. Not sure where the "main" focus of the map should be, but he can take more pics when he's ready.

    k, now my thoughts on this map. I haven't gotten a game of customs on it yet, so I'm only going to comment on the asthetics. Some things you did look good, like the bottom pic. But there is WAY TOO MUCH z-clipping (where the merged pieces look like their wobbling), what ever you call it. At some points in the map, just walking around I noticed alot of that. I thought they were going to correct some of these problems from the Halo3 forge, but maybe that's something technical that they can't get rid of. Anyways, I will be playing some customs on this map on Friday, if I notice anything else, I'll edit this post.

    The wierd angle picture that AnthraXe took in my original post is the main area. I tried to use my brothers account to get more pictures of my map. But my entire xbox is banned, so even trying to get around it with another account is not working. I am very frustrated with the turn of events, but once I play at a friends house I will make my map post proper. I took some really good pictures of my map, that do it justice, so until I can get some up, please download and try it for yourself until some decent photos of my map are up. Thanks

    I think it's a solid map. The structure is brilliant, the intertwining pathways that lead up to the upper levels is really cool. I also like how the sides aren't split perfectly down the middle but kinda in a wedge-like triangular shape. As for the weapon placement, it's good as well except the fact that you have a plasma launcher. I feel that in a map with such variety in close combat with a few long and narrow spots makes me think that something other than the plasma launcher would be a better in its place. (maybe a sword,beam rifle or even moving the hammer form the middle to the plasma launcher spot?)

    I'd say that with all the above said, the only left to do would be to maybe go through and tweak some of the phases so things line up just perfectly some of the ramps and ledges dont line up perfectly. I noticed that on the some sides it seems that a few of the ramps dont line up correctly.

    Even if you are fileshare banned, screenshots will still be sent to your recent images section on b.net.

    So, you can still take your own pics n' stuff.

    dude nice geo-merging :p i had to but in all honesty your map has a really epic feel to it its grand its out there and it always will be the first thread in here for a first forge map on reach i like it haven't played any customs on it yet but it looks so smooth :D

    It looks way awesome.

    My only suggestion would be to change the white lights to team colored because it's kind of hard to figure out where you are when you spawn, and to get rid of the flickering.

    Also, I only found like 3 or 4 weapons laying around the map.

    Are you referring to the ramp leading up on blue side? Yeah when you leave forge completely, then go back in some of the pieces shift like the double walls in halo 3. I have redone several pieces and they always revert back to the offset position. It is frustrating but it is not a map breaker. Thanks for the feed back, I will swap out the Plasma launcher for the grenade launcher. I felt like there weren't enough human guns on this map in the first place so now I have a good excuse.

    Yeah I know about that. Before I was banned I tried my fileshare but it stated the pictures you have taken were taken locally, therefore the fileshare does not support these files. But I was online, so I tried my recently taken photos and it said there are currrently no recent photos. Then I was banned, so I tried recent photos again and still no results.

    I like white light, it gives the map a clean facility feel to it and the pieces are team colored when you go into team slayer so there is no problem. The flickering isnt my fault, I can't remove it, I only could reduce it as much as possible by doing minimum over-lap. Also try looking a little harder, there are 17 weapons on my map plus 4 plasmas and 5 medpacks

    No I never got Reach early, my cousin was gonna get it for me a week early but it never worked out. I went out like everyone else, stood in the rain for two hours. Forged from midnight til one pm the next day, and posted my map. I already have another map almost done, plus two mini-games on the way

    Please download it again, I just removed the old one and replaced it with a new better version. The changes I made were a couple of gun swaps and a new death barrier that helps keep the map from being broken by cheaters who like to use the jetpack to exploit map designs.

    Looks pretty good. I really like the area with the platform under the antenna satelite, looks like it would play well. Good map!
