So, how does one make a server a private server with the default tools? I thought I did, but people keep joining..
I did that, and then when I set up the server it freezes like this. (I've left it for 45 minutes, nothing happened.)
YouTube - Video guide to setting up MCZall Minecraft Server Software Description: UPDATE: the new address to get the MCZall software is http://www.mclawl.tk. Go there for the file This will show you from start to finish how to setup and run the MCZall minecraft server software. Download the MCZall.zip, exact it, open the mysql text file and go to the address listed at the top. Download MySQL. Use 64-bit if you are on a 64-bit OS (You know if you are, if you don't know this answer, download the one that says 32-bit). Install and use simple setup as I show. Run MCZall.exe. Exit it. Go to properties folder, edit server.properties and go down to bottom, put your MySQL password that you setup during installation into the corresponding field. Save. My brother took a few more videos of our entire town so far that resides next to the theme park. YouTube - My World 1 of 3 YouTube - My World 2 of 3 YouTube - My World 3 of 3 We like to use the painterly texture pack, the guy who created it liked the map enough to refence our videos for people to see the textures on Home of The Minecraft Painterly Pack (my brother is nickhimself).
No, the only thing we use is invedit, which we only use for diamond tools. I have created two worlds before this and did the whole stone tools filling your inventory and it gets old quick. There is a lot of mined space below for the stone and such and a lot of terraforming to the land covered a large part of the rest. You won't find any blocks that you can't attain in survival mode, we started this map when infdev(infinite maps) came out.
Glad I Can Help... WINDOWS 1. Close Minecraft. 2. Open minecraft.jar using winrar. NOTE: On XP this is usually found in: c:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\.minecraft\bin On Vista/Win7, it's usually in: c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\roaming\.minecraft\bin 3. Drag and drop all files and directories in the Skin directory into minecraft.jar NOTE: MAKE SURE you drag the contents of the Skin directory, not the Skin directory itself. 4. Close winrar. 5. Open Minecraft and enjoy a dazzling new world of amazement and wonderment. MAC 1. Close Minecraft. 2. Make a folder in /Applcations called minecraft, and move Minecraft.app to it 3. Extract contents of the Skin directory to /Applications/minecraft 4. Open Minecraft and enjoy a dazzling new world of amazement and wonderment. LINUX 1. Ha HA! Good luck you're on your own. 2. Some stuff happens and a command line is probably involved and then it works somehow magically.
How'd you get those Doors and the Windows like that? They look so clean and chic, I'd love to have some like that. EDIT : I guess reading posts would help, you posted the texture pack. Im such a nub..
I've put what was in the Skin Folder (The folders and the few jpg's) into the bin folder. Nothing happens :C.
To change your player skin go to the minecraft website and hit preferances. It will ask you to upload a skin.
Not the Player skin, doofus. We want to change the Texture Skin, basically what the blocks look like.
Ok youtuber had trouble with this to, you must have winrar opened and double click minecraft.jar, it will open another folder and you put the skins there.
YouTube - TheAbsoluteCarnage's Channel ^ My channel with two minecraft videos on it. I hope to upload more either tommorow or thuesday.
