Damnit I love this idea but now I can't get the idea of building 2 giant spaceships out of my head! The diagrams are pretty funny and I wish you all the luck in forging this map when Reach comes out!
Thank you Sure ^^ I'll try to gather a bunch of people once I make the map (maybe a small version first) and think it is polished enough for testing. I will then make the full version and see if it works well.
Wow, you've got a great art style Really well done post As far as the idea goes, all looks like it could be really fun. I'd also love to help test whenever it's ready. One point of concern that sticks out to me is the fact the core is in the corner. At least in Halo 3, objectives in corners are often a REALLY bad idea, as it makes camping the objective much too easy, and it also limits the options for the attacks (while you should normally have at least 2-3 routes, putting it in a corner limits it generally to 1-2). So, while I realize how the gameplay is different than normal, you may want to at least look carefully at your objective placement. Apart from that, I hope to get a chance to actually play this map
Thanks And are you refering to this drawing? If so, the Core won't be on a corner - the image was just showing where the attackers enter, and that the Core is at the end of the Titan (it would be confusing if I drew a circle below the falcon ). The Core will be in a big-ish room (I posted about it in page 2 I think). You can get a good idea of the interior if you watch Battlefield2142 titan videos (last phase). It won't be exactly the same because I have to keep in mind how halo plays, and I need to make it fun (Try to avoid frustrating clutch situations)
This. Is. Epic. Honestly, I really hope it plays well because it does look confusing but I think people can get the hang of it. Also I'm addressing the core problem, IF it was in the corner, couldn't people just throw nades in the objective room to clear it out a bit *sorry if it's a noob question**points at post count* I'm not to keen on encouraging nade use but there are players that have a sensitive trigger finger for nades if you know what I mean

Epic art work? Accepted Idea? Accepted When I looked at this, I was like "What have you been...", Then looked at it more carefully and laughed at myself and it even has an amazing idea. Its very creative, but for some weird reason it feels like Rifte's Invasion Repel. Oh well, still awesome.
Never heard of that map until now It does look nice but the only thing it has in common is spaceships being there, looking cool. I still don't know if I'm going to build UNSC and Covenant themed ships, or build the same structure twice to make it balanced - gameplay is more important.

I think you should make rough version of the map, have it tested, and if there is anything major missing then you won't have to remake the entire superspecialawsumconqeso map. Also, I would totaly help test this if:1 I scrounge enough money from my parents to get reach before you test it, and 2 Its in less than 9 days from now (live is running out.)

what about the fall damage in Reach? How can you jump off if it'll kill you? Is there a custom option to turn it off?
I'm thinking about putting overshields outside the titans (where the exits you jump from are) That way right as you land you loose the extra shields - and you can't grab them without jumping out, so it's impossible to exploit them as a defender.

Last update! Just finished the map Here is a preview another one I hope they don't reveal too much ;-) I will try to make the final thread today, with images of the different phases and a preview video. If I gather enough people for a 6v6 or 8v8 expect an action-packed video from that.
