There was a grunt in ODST that would use a human turret on Uplift Reserve. Other than that, I have never seen covenant use human weapons. The brute spiker is similar in function to the Assault rifle so I see no need for the change.
they still use the spiker, but i guess unlike elites they would rather pick up a human weapon when theirs is out of ammo than die. also, why do brutes look so ridiculously hideous and disgusting in reach. in halo 3, they actually looked somewhat menacing with their fur and snarls and kewl armor and ****. now they just look like a bear sized naked mole rat/E.T. sort of creature.
i dont understand your argument ... did the species evolve in the few months between reach and halo 3?
I guess you forgot about the whole war at the end of Halo 2, and how Brutes became the number one species and got shields and armor and all that stuff in Halo 3.
actually, i take back what i said. brutes used human shotties in H2. I wholeheartedly agree. tbh new brutes look like they've been hit in the face by a frying pan. actually, now that i think about it they look a lot like cave trolls from LOTR. They look completely different in appearance physically, not just with their new armor. rawr
Think how in other games the brutes are the tough bad guys and the elites are the average simple bad guy, In reach there trying to make the elites the scary tough guys and brutes 2nd tier. Like reversed there roles almost.
eh i think elites were harder to kill in halo 2, and in halo 3 brutes were just a joke. jackals were harder to kill...
No way! Halo 2 brutes were ridiculous! On normal difficulty it took like 3 melees, then they went on their crazy berserk rampage and it took like two more melees before they would die. Then then prophets gassed them and made them retarded for halo 3.
