Yeah, assuming that a very high fall can kill you, you'll die. As for the spawn sequece, I've got no idea.
Spawn time is still an option. Spawn Sequence I guess is like KotH spawning, setting up a sequence like "Hill 1, Hill 2, Hill 3" but its also available for all objects, whether they're an objective or not. I had a think about it and I guess it should work for weapon or vehicle spawns, too. Say you want a rocket launcher to spawn every minute. You can do that in Halo 3, no matter whether someone already has a rocket launcher, you can force another one to spawn (Max Limits). But what if you had 4 possible locations for a rocket to spawn. I think you can put a rocket launcher in each of those 4 places and set 3 of them to not spawn at start, but to spawn after a minute. Lets limit the Run Time Max to 2 rocket launchers on the map at one time. Rocket A spawns at the start. After 1 minute Rocket B will spawn. Rocket C may also spawn if Rocket A has been used and dropped within the first minute. If it hasn't, and a player is still holding on to it then Rocket A will still be in play, Rocket B will spawn and Rocket C will spawn a minute later, unless of course Rockets A and B are still in play. Then you could set all weapons up like that! Forcing action around the map because people follow the power weapons, or even just subtle changes in regular weapon spawns to encourage players to go to certain places. Sorry to disappoint you, it is just a tunnel. Imagine a teleporter cave from Avalanche, stick one of those on each side of the rock and a slope in between them. Thats it. Sorry, but no giant cavern, its more like something from Sidewinder. Edit: OK, my turn to ask a question Where do Alaska's and Montana's names come from? I understand that they're States but not being an American myself thats about all I know.
'nother question. How does setting up gametypes work? I saw in the in-game pause menu there isn't a option for selecting the gametype like in Halo 3. Do we just get all the objective items available at the same time?
If somebody tries to recreate an oblivion Ayeleid ruin, having a hidden mancannon blasting you directly up into a hard kill zone would be a great cieling spike trap
Yes, we do. In the Comic-con Halo Reach panel, as soon as they start the game, everything for every gametype is there. Lots easier now!
i thought forging gametypes was the way to switch objective modes. if that isnt true... forging gametypes?
Ah, I think I see. "Basic Editing" is the game type which is like H3's Forge, it just uses the default settings and then you go to Game Type to change player traits so you can test the map you're making for a custom game type as you forge it.
Another thing I thought of, does anyone else think those 2 areas also resemble the shapes of the states they're named after? This is the best over head shot I can find. Montana is long with a bit sticking out at Red Base and Alaska is... a funny shape.
Well fellow 4chubbers, only 2 days until the speculation in this thread becomes tangible. 2 damn days. ...
Hey guys! I started a thread about this but ppl have been telling me to ask here. SO my question is, does anyone know the forge items on any map other than forgeworld? ex:reflexion, spire, boneyard etc...
Somebody probably does, but you'd have to wait for a PM, it's technically leaked until Tuesday. Your second best bet would just be to wait.
Have you tried looking at Community Screenshots to see the types of items on the map? Bungie.net : Halo Reach : Images
