Halo: Reach Discussion

These maps look a lot better than originally. Boardwalk was 'meh' but now its 'wow'.

Countdown looks like a James Bond map.

 

So guys, I'm in Seattle, Washington now at PAX. I've watched people play on Forge World, Boardwalk, and Reflection. In fact, I played an 8-player FFA on Reflection and got 1st place. Hooray! I've also played 15 minutes of Firefight, but cannot remember the name of the map. Anyways... I love Reach.

A couple things I have learned about Reach (These are not spoilers) are that you can still melee someone who is lunging at you with a sword and it will counter the sword, grenades are awkward to throw, bumper jumper hasn't been fixed and the X button still activates the armor ability, the health system is awesome, the AI is extremely smart, the Covenant are evil, and Credits are earned through everything (Custom Games, Forge, Campaign, Matchmaking, and Firefight). I'm very happy that we could possibly level up during TGIF now. Hooray!

If you have any questions concerning Reach's multiplayer (Custom Games and Firefight) please ask away! I also have Noble 6 Helmet Codes. I have no idea how I'm gonna disperse them.

 

I played Headhunter once in the beta, and after seeing this video I still can't get excited about it. Shame.

Well I preordered the game so I'm probably not going to be on this site anymore. Maybe like when I'm super bored. But I've got too many real life problems to deal with and you know. Faggots to fight and bitches to ****. Busy busy. I hope everyone enjoys the game as much as I will.

It was basically a bunch of small, filler talk because they have nothing else to speak of until reach comes out. They spoke about some release parties, and signing sweaty man bosoms, and touched briefly about them being at PAX. Nothing too serious.

 

You could give one of them to me...

 

Anyone noticed the spartan with blue flames in the update. Methinks its Bungies personal armor effect. Because i dont remember seeing "blue" flames in any armory videos.

Well they said that they hadn't announced barely any of the final ones didn't they? It thats the case i would hope they didn't show all of the best ones, and saved some hidden.

 

I can haz answer? I was at the Bungie Panel over here at PAX about 10 hours ago, and during Q&A somebody asked how we would be able to identify Bungie Employees in Matchmaking now that the public gets flames and recon, and a Bungie Employee said that they would still have flames, just different. These blue flames could be the new flames that only Bungie Employees get...

 

Random question:

What would happen if you used the target locator on Corvette?

 

I would assume there isn't one on Corvette.

 

So of course Bungie adds their old specialized thing to the Legendary edition to get a ton of little kids to buy it thinking they can be just like Bungie (and possibly claim to be Bungie) then Bungie creates their own new, more awesome thing.

Now it all makes sense.

 

Did you really think Bungie wasn't going to have their own armor effect? I guess it's a good marketing choice to keep that under wraps until the Legendary pre-orders are all in, but everyone mature enough to have a job to buy their own copy of the game should have expected it.

 

They'd still have BUNGIE by their gamertags in pregame lobbies. Pretty easy to identify a Bungie dude.

 

Of course I knew.

I'm actually surprised it's just flames, and not something else that is much more obvious.

 

Like the Bungie logo appearing in an arc over the players head?
