    Hey you guys, over the past week i have had zero internet, so i was working on a sketchup out of pure boredom. I texted Irony to see if he had any ideas for a map for reach that we could co-forge and he said he had nothing so i proposed an idea for a map that was inspired by a couple of halo 3 maps. A Symmetrical map, and an Asymmetrical map merged into an Inverse-symmetrical map. So my project began with the maps Guardian and Citadel in mind to make a map that i hope you all will like and im looking for some more ideas for the map. The v1 is done and here it is, i hope you enjoy.

    OH! P.S. I got sick of trying to place the medic packs so i just deleted them.

    i think it looks like a good start but its a bit small. maybe add some layers to make the map a bit more vertical and extend it in a few directions.

    I think I like it so simplistic. Easy to play on. How many players max? Four? I think that doubles is the most you could play Team Slayer on this. If you want more people, you probably will have to expand. Otherwise, I think it looks nice.

    it rather reminds me of guardian, in that case I like it, on the other hand it's itty bitty, which I'm uncertain about.

    lol it looks small but i put master chief models on the map and it looks like a 4v4 would work out quite nice, but yea im not sure how im gonna go it but its probably going to be expanded.

    *edit*
    In all the views you see the little hole in the roof of where the lights are, i could put a lift there and expand it off of that. Good or bad idea?

    I think that works. You could also put holes in the second floor directly over the corners as a method of falling back down. Or over the objective itself as a third route of entering.

    true, but im not sure what to use! haha stupid reach not being out yet!
    i tried the blackout library type room and it kinda ruined everything. lol
    so for now, ill leave it and see hoe it plays when reach comes out. ill make changes to it from there, and plus i think im going to use the purple filter with this, and use the huge fricken walls to block the sun so it doesnt ruin the "night" effect.

    So when you look up, all you see are gigantic walls in the sky? I guess you could add some lights on the walls, to make it look like a space station or something, you know, so they're actually there for a reason. Don't forget, you can combine filters to make it look like it's really nighttime (orange is dawn, purple is dusk, and I'm thinking combining Purple and Next Gen would give a super-nighttime look).

    Other than that, I really like this map. I usually like bigger maps more, but this seems like it would be nice and simple, a map I would definitely download :)

    well sorta, they will be like off in the distance a bit tho so its not like, oh look walls. lol. and yea the combine filters idea is good, ill just figure it out when its time tho. haha i wanted to keep the map simple tho, i see in alot of sketchups that all the maps are trying to be really complex, but thats also a good thing because it could add to the uniqueness. This map is about guardian sized but not as roomy, so maybe ill add like walls to make that room effect.

    Where were you going to put this map, again? By the waterfall/Lagoon? Because if it's just floating in the air, I don't think you should make it have a "room" effect; all you need to do then is make sure there are soft and hard kill zones around the thing, and you're good to go.

    well yea its just gonna be floating. haha, and i tried it in the sketch up and it looked terrible so its just going to have to work how it is
