You are a pretty arrogant kid, and probably a contributing cause of why Bungie was so reluctant to get involved with us in any respectable manner. When you release your first map, I'm going to download it and criticize the **** out of it.... you know, since you are above Bungie's abilities. Gotta grade you on a sliding scale.

oh really? you can use forge better than the people who CREATED THE ****ING GAME?
I'm sorry, but you are an ass, and you deserve to be called out for that insult. I'd bet my months income on YOU being a self centered, arrogant git who thinks he knows better than everyone else in the world. I'm with the above person that said "i'm going to criticize the hell out of your first map when its posted". I'll be there as well.

I'm also amazed at the amount people complain about something so fantastic coming out. If they'd been quiet and not revealed ANYTHING since E3, he'd be complaining that they are not saying/revealing enough. If they revealed everything they could, he'd complain that they spoiled there own release.

Personally, I find the updates interesting and informative without being overtly spoilish. Letting you know about stuff that doesn't matter to storyline/gameplay (like the little icon next to your gamertag, revealing lots of the armor pieces early) is genius. Bungie knows their hardcore fans care about the little details like that, so they take good care of us in that respect.

I'm sorry to rant and rave, but I've seen a rash of complaint threads/comments lately, not just on FH but elsewhere too. It makes me angry to see people whine about a game that's not out yet in so many ways when I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. Everyday I'm like.... 18 days left!!!!

when you insult bungie in so many ways, you deserve to be harassed. They are the reason we all have this great game we love.... and to say you know better than them is inviting criticism and slander.

But you're right, no amount of insults will make a difference. I guess I'll stop hating now :p

Some of the forgeworld maps will definitely be awesome. Cmon, think Ascension. I will agree that the BWU wasn't great, no gameplay footage or anything, but I wasn't hyped about it to begin with. Anyway, if you want to be an optimist, in a little more than 2 weeks we won't need BWU!

The re-makes in this game have me most excited. Reflection, Pinnacle, etc. I can't wait. So many epic maps.

Foundry and sandbox default maps... Meh

now to get to all the bungie meat riders... First off... I never said that the game was gonna suck or that it's going to be bad... Second off the title of this thread asks if the bungie updates are getting worse and I say yes... If you say no then you were not blown away by the previous forge world updates...
And another thing because people love to cry themselves to sleep when I post a meager comment on the amount of maps... No where in my posts do I say that I am an amazing forger. I do say that bungie is not as good at forge as the forging community(compare default foundry or sandbox to any of the maps). They are better at making default maps than us but we dint have a tool to edit terrain or the skybox so it is pointless to compare... Cage, paradiso, ect. Do look good but I count them as 1 map. Counting them as five maps would then have to include all of the custom levels forgers build. If you guys want to get obsessed and cry over this post go ahead...

But it wasn't "officially supported". Now since it's an actual function in Forge, they can do what they please.

Well they could do whatever they wanted... It's their game. But even in the forge world vidoc the dude said, "the community will outstrip us, they'll spank us." coming from a bungie senior employee. Bungie isn't that great with the tool they created. Its like the guy Naismith who invented basketball. Sure he invented it but it doesn't mean that he is the best at it. In time others mastered it and improved it. The ghost merge is to forge as the alley oop is to basketball. The user tends to be better than the inventor

many may be better than bungie with the forge tools, but not so many are better at making balanced maps the the bungie employees that actually make maps. like the guy who made the cage and lockout, i really have no idea what his name is though and im def not looking it up.

It's Chris carney... True they are good at balance I'll give you that, but any good forger can achieve that through trial and error and testing
