Usually that $5 down counts against the cost of the game. Doing it online you just pay up front and get it at your door for no extra work, which is what I did.
There are places which don't count it as part of the price of the game? As far as I'm concerned it's a deposit, if any shop disagrees then I certainly wouldn't buy from them. There are other reasons too, Tz. I'm gonna grab it at midnight release, and some places require you to preorder for that. Plus there's the little things you get for preordering, I think Recon in the case of Reach, not saying I personally consider that a reason for me to preorder but others will and that's fair enough.
So can anyone tell me if gamestop will deliver it to my house or not? Because I don't want to have to go pick it up at the store. This would help a lot if someone could let me know.
You can probably find that information on gamestop.com but I still think you're better off ordering somewhere else since I don't believe gamestop delivers. Does the armor honestly matter more to you than having it delivered to your door?
Yeah they can ship it to you, but it could take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. So I think you'd be better of just picking it up whenever you can, since Gamestop will hold it for you as long as you need them to.
Same for me, if I buy without pre-ordering it comes out to around $64. Not a huge difference, but if you're getting the game anyways, why not save yourself the $4 and get something to eat on your way home from picking Reach up.
I pre-paid for my copy of Halo Reach. Figured that I'd get that expense out of the way while I had the cash. Now I just need to go in an pick up my copy. Show them my receipt and I'm out the door.
If you can spend $60 without worrying about bills or something, pre-order it. You usually get a bonus for doing it. Like at gamestop you get some exclusive in-game armor. If you buy it at amazon, I think you get a $20 gift card (look into that before you get it on amazon because I am not 100% sure).
Pre-ordered the Halo Reach console from Amazon. Selected release date shipping since it was only $5 more. Can't wait.
Finally got round to pre-ordering it. Cheeky Limited edition, Legendary was sold out everywhere I looked Oh well, I'm one step closer to owning the game of the millennium!
The only reason I am not pre-ordering it is that I don't have any money right now so I'm gonna blackmail my mom until she gives me the money. LoLz
Ive pre-ordered because I want the multithreat armor but the bonuses they give you from preorders usualy suck for the games I play, except Brutal Legend. I wouldnt have pre-ordered if they didnt give you the only peice to recreate emile
