If I remember correctly you can set shield doors, more importantly one way shield doors, to prevent spartans OR vehicles from going through. So if you created an armory room for each team, or a couple that are linked with teleporters, you could force a person to get into a vehicle before leaving the base. To expand upon this idea, by placing a person only teleporter that is large enough to cover any area that ISN'T the bases, you could force anyone that leaves a vehicles to be instantly killed. Therefore, you would have a map that requires you to be on a vehicle to play.

If you can't set shield doors, and I was just imagining things, I have another way of going about this. Use the same teleporter setup as before. This time, replace the shield door with a glass wall, so that people can still see what they are about to get into and if there is a scorpion ready to blast them, so they have a chance to teleport to an alternate team base. Here's the catch. Another setup of teleporters are set up in the base, that instantly teleport vehicles right outside their respective bases. As soon as a person gets in, BOOM. Teleportation.

Giving a weapon armory of your approved weapons is also suggested. Since you can't leave the vehicle, you can offer more weapons like snipers and shotguns, seeing as they will only be useful in removing enemy warthog passengers while driving by, the sniper not being able to scope. On the other hand, a rocket launcher is a godsend, so hand those style weapons out sparingly. DMR's and covenant needler carbines should be a more middle group, seeing as they can hit at distances, and don't need much aiming.

As for the vehicles, transport vehicles can be potent with the right crew. Stockpiling heavy weapons lead to the creation of either a falcon that can drop the equivalent of a hellfire missile on its target, or having a high speed mongoose that can drive by a bomb on its enemies. Normally though, these vehicles are a little weaker, so feel free to place many of these. Especially mongooses. I suggest giving each team eight, so that there is ALWAYS a vehicle to leave the base with. Just make sure you have a turret buddy, or passenger in transport vehicles case. As for power vehicles, if you even choose to place these, make them EXTREMELY rare. I suggest not even having them active at the beginning of the round, on 180 second respawn. As for flying vehicles, I suggest a hangar high about the other two bases. The frequency of these vehicles can change depending on how relevant you want air combat to be.

Final idea, the turret. I'm assuming the map will be large, so what you probably want to do is have a small turret zone. Here there is a shade turret on the opposite side of a shield door. Grab the turret through the door, and start firing on whatever enemies come near the base. Great for killing campers.

These ideas I'm just throwing out there. I probably won't use this stuff, so go ahead and take it. If you want to credit is nice, but not necessary. Take what you want, leave what you don't.

Basically a spawn area filled with vehicles and only way out is though One way shield door with a teleport area which only vehicles can get past, while on foot it would teleport you back in.

Yeah you can do that but whats stopping them getting out when there past it?

If it's a small map just cover the entire map in huge teleporters that only teleport infantry.

Can't teleporters get unusually large? I figured all this stuff out already, read the post more detailed.

My thoughts are this. Make two closed off areas Big boxes if you will. Instead of the sheild doors you could always make the teleporter vehicle only. No foot traffic allowed. That solves that problem, Have a raised platform in the box holding the teleporter which allow the units would be brought up and dispersed. Now to remove any possible spawn camping and since you can have twelve teleporters and so far only using four use the remaining to scatter your troops on each side from overlaping enemy fire. No sense in letting a team who is being beaten just killed as soon as they run from their safe zone.

The problem with a huge teleporter covering the exits is it would cover the area as well, you wouldn't get anywhere doing that. You'd be stuck on the teleporter pad or it would stop working after once through.

With any luck the soft kill zones could be modified to killing those not in a vehicle forceing people into them,

Anyway i like the idea, but some work needs to be done to keep people from abusing parts of it.

Kill barrier high enough to kill people off of a mongoose (smallest vehicle in the game, i think), but low enough for people on mongeese to live? Because if you made it right using the mongoose so then when you're on it you're save but off you die, it'd then do the same for all other vehicles.

Forced vehicle spawns are possible in race, so why not in in other gametypes?
This spawns a player right on the vehicle and kills them for not getting off.

If you spawn straight to vehicle, you can't pick weapon. Unless you make weapon stashes where you can get of the vehicle but can't shoot from there.

just make an enclosed area where the only way to leave is through a vehicle-only teleporter.

I'm confused... I already have a full proof plan. Why are people acting like I need help?

And right above me, what's to stop them getting out after?

As for the vehicle only teleporter, already been stated. That's to leave. Next is the person only teleporter. That covers the whole gameplay zone. If you get out, poof, over the ocean with you.
