i wish you could customize the effects of armor abilities. llike making it so your not able to move while in camo. that would be cool.
Oh, it would have been awesome for infection and the like. But still, this forge looks like it's gonna be the hyped version of Halo 3's and the Forge World looks like Halo after eating a special mushroom that makes you grow bigger. What would you want to do that to active camo for? But I kind of get your point.
any idea on how to recrate maps with doors. I was thinking of doing the perfect dark map car park but realize this 3 open/close doors on ear levl that goes to the stairs on every side. I was thinking of putting a shield door thier so you just couldn't shoot but its not the same. Any suggestions.
I assume you mean that they're for the platforms, unless I completely missed something while playing SSB.
That's exactly what I've done. I allow myself occasional peeks at FH because I figure there will be no campaign spoilers. Its also tiresome to see people discuss things that have already been addressed. OT, does anyone actually think there is more to Forge? Personally, I don't. I think we've seen everything Bungie has given us with Reach. I don't want to expect more and be let down.
Im 100% sure that they showed us everything about the game, other than campaign. and a couple maps, but thats just because they sort of have little campaign spoilers. theyve been revealed other ways though...
Anybody have forge ideas for maps other than Forge World? For example, Spire, with its rocky dirt terrain, seems like it could be a great setting for a Tremors map, provided it has some big open areas we can forge on that don't include buildings.
Sam, I think all levels but forgeworld are fairly hard to forge on. We'll still have forge 2.0. So we probably can't make structures or blocks, ect. But we can still phase objects. Other maps will be forged on, but the quality and creativity of maps will be harder to express.
You say that but just look at how good some maps were on Halo 3, unless by "Hard" you mean 'not as easy'. But that would be a pointless statement as (for those who can't figure it out for themselves) it would be saying that it is harder to forge on normal maps than it is on the map made specifically for forge. You should also bear in mind that the other maps have much more potential for being edited for specific game modes rather than forge world were you're not so much editing as you are creating.
There's a Forge video on this page and the bit which caught my eye as at about 4:32 we get a look at the "Advanced" options menu. 3 new options I guess Game Specific and Game Type Label need to be used together. If you set the warthog has the bomb plant (label) then you can also set it to be game specific so it will only spawn in Assault.
CAN somebody ANY body please tell me if they have see the inside of the island on forgeworld?!?!? I AM dieing to find out it its just a hallway or like a small/large cave! If nobody knows just tell me what you THINK is gonna be inside.
Bungie said it was a good spot for Avalanche/Sidewinder style maps, so I imagine it's probabyl a fair sized cavern. AFAIK that's all we know. I don't think I've even seen that in leaks.
Off-topic but this has been bugging me for a bit. If you placed a mancannon shooting straight up, maxed out jump height, jumped in the cannon and used a jet pack and smashed your face on a low ceiling at the highest speed possible, would you die of falling damage? Also DMM, what do you think Spawn Sequence is given there's still the 'Place at start: No' shenanigan in Reach? Is it for KoTH style gametypes?
