Any chance of the antennas? It seems all of my maps have hit an impass without them.

Just wondering, are there any plans to create representations of health stations or the AA placements?

There is a health pack already. AA's will probably be tokens like the weapons.

I updated the pack to 2.1. Check out MickRaider.com for more.

Thanks for this. It is a real help for sketching maps. I am going to attempt to sketch the terrain when it comes out. But in the mean while this is a great help.

PEOPLE! USE CAUTION! some of these forge objects are not the same in shape or size as they are in game! expect to subject your map ideas to change if you are using sketchup!

i am back once again, after making some maps and looking at some videos i noticed the object called "dish" & "dish open" seem far to large, as i saw in a video showcasing the ascension remake, the object "brace large" which are the 3 pylons that go around the circle dishes don't fit properly on sketch up as they do in the video. I assume the dishes are too large, hopefully you can look into this for a fix. Thanks.

well, the big walkway that people are using, it is resemblant to the one on the covenant level in halo 3 if anyone knows what i am referencing, people on these forums are using it as a wall in some cases, but what they dont know is that in game it actually has a big column sticking out of the bottom.

    that kind of thing.

You did an excellent job with these Sketchup objects, but I just have one question. Would it be possible to make a cannon, man object for sketchup? Or even an approximation? There is a video, I believe, of some guy dicking around in Forge (he's obviously using a leaked copy) that shows off the cannon in The Cage. Perhaps you could use that as reference?

    Thanks!

Yeah well that's one of the few that I had very little info on and we just guessed.

The more basic objects are very close to correct but some of the more complex and large ones might have some flaws that I'll fix as I go along.

I think the Blood Gulch bases need a little tweaking, too. The whole base (with the 2 Bunker pieces) should make a circle. It looks like you've made a semi circle and then added a section for the ramp.

You need to half the width of the ramp and the wall bit next to it.

Also, a tip for people taking "overview" screenshots from above.

Go to Camera > Parallel Projection. It'll show the layout more clearly like it was an actual map of your map.

Then switch back to Perspective for other screenshots.

I dont know much about sketchup, would it be possible to add the scenery, the rocks in particular? It would be great maybe in the next version.

I just pushed out another minor update. All the names should now be correct.

I just want to say, I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I downloaded this, then opened it into components by going to my downloads, but it keeps opening as one huge group of objects, instead of all seperate. What exactly am I doing wrong?

    and thanks for this =)

I think MickRaider has a tutorial for this on his site, but here's what you do:

1.Open the .skp file with all the components
2.Zoom out by scrolling with your mouse
    3.Select all components delete them
    4.Go to Window menu, Components
5.Click the "Home" button, the one that looks like a house, on the Components window, and you're good to go!
6.To prevent having to do this all over again, before you place anything down, go to File, Save as Template. It should ask you if you want this to be your default template: click yes.

And there you go! Have fun planning out Forge maps! :D
