Halo: Reach Who doesn't think so? CoD: Black Ops From all the trailers and stuff I've seen about it, I'm 90% sure it has my vote Red Dead Redemption Mr bro plays it (I can't touch it -_-), and from what I've seen, it's awesome. I've seen him play the entire story, and everything. The only part he didn't like about it that isn't wrong with the game is that he accidentally jumped off a cliff with his horse, he lived and it didn't. He tried to do 'ride' but it made him skin it
Seeing as this site revolving around halo. Halo : Reach will have more inspiration in forge, with more room to build it. I think that (OMG DUH!) Reach is.
Game of the Year polls should be made at the end of the year, not half way through it. And discussion of this is pretty well a "Reach will be awesome" circle jerk.
Halo Reach-1st place Fallout: New Vegas-2nd place Battlefield: Bad Company 2-3rd place Others: Red Dead Redemption Medal of Honor Assassins Creed Brotherhood The top three are the games i think will be the top three, and others will be games that had a shot at being GOTY. Yea sorry no black ops, that game will fail just like modern warfare 2 did.
Well aside from that and actual sales, the game was a failure. Campaign- way overrated, had a terrible storyline, and recylced enviorments. Spec Ops was garbage and has no replay-ability. And well multiplayer, i dont think i really need to even say anything about that.
Modern Warfare is a Call of Duty game. CoD4 was a first and probably the best. Aside from that, a game a year really cant add too much special. The campaign was good, but nothing like CoD4. Spec Ops was a very fun game mode, and possibly the best on the MW2 disc. You cant say the multiplayer is BAD. The players made it bad, althogh some ofthe weapons, perks, etc. did indeed makes it bad. MW2 is enjoyable to play if you dont care about k/d or your other stats.
The fact that players are able to make the multiplayer bad makes the multiplayer bad. I honestly think Black Ops will be a great game, and I might even buy it when I get the money. I like Treyarch's take on how CoD games should be made, and WaW is certainly much more balanced than MW2. Shitfinity Ward was on a downhill slope ever since the first CoD they made, and MW2 only sold because the original MW was a decent game. On topic. Halo:Reach. /thread
If Brink wasn't delayed for the umf-teen, it would have a definite contender for best game of 2010. That game was looking really sweet back when I saw it at E3 last year. It was suppose to come out spring of this year, now its supposedly releasing in Spring of '11... right. You know what though, im not mad. That just leaves it for more improvement, but if it's delayed for a fourth time, im gonna get real angry. Like this angry- >=0
Reach is a surefire winner in my opinion. CoD has overstayed it's welcome and most people I've talked to don't plan on buying it.
The most popular games for me, that also get my vote, in order will be Reach, Black Ops, Fable 3, and possibly Fallout : New Vegas.
Halo Reach It has... Campaign for 1-4 people Firefight for 1-4 people multiplayer for 1-16 people Forge for 1-16 people Theater for um... one should be fine ...five things each with so many options and abilities this game will probably give us the most gameplay for sixty dollars. I think that game will give us more gameplay than every game released in 2010. Yes. I'm crazy.
Considering practically every vote in this thread has been for Reach, I think I'll give a point for Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption. Alan Wake is fantastic. The characters are great and memorable. The story is probably one of the best I've seen in a video game. Graphics are stunning. Honestly there's nothing I don't like about this game. Red Dead Redemption is also great. Like Alan Wake, RDR has an excellent storyline with memorable characters, stunning graphics and a much better than expected multiplayer. Both of these games are definitely deserving for GOTY.
Fable III Seems not as good. Maybe if they fixed that stupid camera, then maybe it might be worth picking up and playing co-op. I had this issue with fable 2. It was really annoying. I not as entertained with Fable III then Fable II. Kinect might be the reason why.
There is no kinect for Fable III, at least not at launch. It will probably get patched in at a later point, but even if it is, it won't be mandatory.
Fixed. Although I do think many other games are worthy of GOTY, I still think Reach will take the cake simply because it will have the most replay value out of any of the games I've seen mentioned here, and because this is a Halo fanbase. Biased vote is biased.
Quite surprised it hasn't been brought up, but i'll just throw it out there, NFS Hot Pursuit. Personally, i can't wait for it. The last few NFS games haven't really been up to scratch IMO, but this remake looks pretty solid. Some of the features (Cop career etc.) are really getting me excited.
