Me and Predicide just got done playing his map 1v1 and that was even fun.

This is by far the best non-dlc forged map in my eyes.

Congratulations on the feature too Pred.

This is going to be played in TGIF ;)

It never occurred to me that 1v1 would work until tonight. I didn't think it would be possible to travel with the bomb, but the lack of radar makes it possible to play sneaky. I was up on the turret guarding point 3, looking around for Mike, and I hear "bomb armed"... dammit. Right under my nose.

Mike beat me 3-2, by the way.

Yeah, the bomb progression thing is a great idea, I never knew you could do it until now.

a novel idea but... correct me if im wrong but this just looks like an overly fancy-looking game of one sided territorys that has the added novelty of a bomb carrier. territorys would involve almost identical gameplay/tactics, plus you get to jump and throw grenades.

granted. explosions are cool, and you cant get explosions in territorys.

wow, that was one helluva short feature! i'm amazed that they didn't save this until after the upgrade because it really deserves it's spot in the limelight. although it may be because i'm aussie.

See, maps don't have to be on foundry to be great!

    Nice job.

The same could be said for any One-Bomb Assault game.

I never thought of it that way. You're kinda right, except that in a Territories game any player can capture the territory, whereas in Amphib Threat only the bomb carrier can score. Instead of focusing on all 3 objectives at the same time, a defender needs to only think about where the bomb carrier is. So there are different gameplay/tactics at work.

One of my favorite strategies is skipping Objective 2 and taking the bomb the long way around to Objective 3. The enemy team is so focused on my teammates who are rushing #2 that they almost never see me in time to stop me score.

Yeah, I felt like such an idiot when you did that to our team. It's very important to home in on the bomb carrier. If you wait for him to come to you, you'll lose just like we did. o_O

I like the idea that the attackers have to advance to gain points, And that they have to destroy the wall to reach the next area. Definately a download.

Are you using the appropriate gametype?

What you are referring to are the defenders' and neutral bomb spawns, which I hid on the power lines. They should not be active if you play the asymmetric gametype. You can't play Amphib Threat without the gametype that goes with it.
