I have and always will begin my newly received Halo games by playing through the campaign on normal before touching anything else. Then I'll go to all the other funzies (MP, forge, theater) while playing through the campaign on heroic. Once that's done I focus on MP and blow off the legendary experience until I get ballsy or have a friend to go at it with me.
Forge. Just forge. I may try the multiplayer eventually but I will wait until I have the three guys I normally play with to go into campaign. I'm just excited mostly about the forge than anything else.
It's killing me trying to decide what I'll do first. I really want to do campaign first because I've always finished it before I went to any other game mode in the other halos, but I also want to fly around in forge world, check out every place, see all the objects and options, and then fly a falcon around the whole map with some of my buddies. If I end up doing campaign first the order of things I will do is play: normal campaign, forge, firefight, matchmaking, heroic campaign, matchmaking with friends, forge with friends, firefight with friends, then do campaign on legendary [alone] and finally repeat the process all over again.
Thing I do on every halo, customise my spartan to what I want (and elite.) Then go through all the emblems until I get something I like, which will probably be the same as the other games, then depending on who gets the game at the same time as me, campaign, firefight for ten minutes or matchmaking.
After buying reach, I will do tuesdays homework, then on wednesday Ill go to school and football practice then go home to do homework, then same on thursday, on friday ill go to school, play in a football game, and go home too tired to stand. saturday ill go to football practice and then play the first level of campaign before being yelled at to do college app work
Personally, I don't understand why anyone would want to do anything before going through the Campaign first. So, yeah. I'm going through Campaign, then I'll make my way towards Forge.
I will go in Forge first. Place every AA, Weapon, Vehicle and other interactive object on the Gulch and just run around seeing how they all work. Then some CO-OP, Heroic campaign with ma buddy. After the first one or two mission, I'll go bad-ass on Multiplayer for a few days. When my thirst is satiated, I'll play more Campaign until about mission 6. Then tons more multiplayer and a bit of firefight. Then back to finish off the campaign. I'll then play tons of multiplayer and some firefight depending how good it is. Then, I'll make an absolutely TERRIBLE Guardian in forge, spending most of my time getting lasered by my friend saying "this is for johnson wort wort wort!", and when i finish, get laughed at for how crappy it is. Then, when All is said and done, and I have downloaded almost every old Halo map plus favela from COD 6 to my game, I will play MP until my hands fall off and I cannot walk....Good Times!
All forge, all the time. I'll go into Forge World and look at every item in every single menu, starting with weapons, then vehicles, then all the objects. Then, I'll look at every single Bungie map, to check them out but also to analyze the way Bungie likes to set up their respawn systems. I'll also make a note to look at the forging items in the Invasion maps, and see how those work. Then I'll start making a small map (probably in Forge World) as a Forge 2.0 beginner project.
I won't be able to decide, so I'll probably just close my eyes, tilt the control stick and see what I get. So I guess my vote is "Too much excitement, we'll see what happens when I get it".
I knew Campaign and Forge would be about the same. I'm going to finish Campaign as quick as I can on Normal, and then rush into Forge and test everything. Then I'll mess with Customs. After that, I'll play some Firefight, and finally, Matchmaking.
Forge is amazing! I should have my first map posted on here about a week before the game is in stores.
As soon as I get Reach, I will see if the new "Concussion Rifle" will act like the Brute Shot in Halo 2 by having some drop and infinite range (it's description says it acts like the Brute Shot). If so, expect Troy to return.
Forge /thread LOL No I'm gonna try every vehicle, weapon and AA out on Forge first, then do a bit of MM while I wait for my puny friend to collect his game from "the store" (I know, disgusting) Then I'll play Campaign on Legendary with him and his friend and friend's brother until I finish. Then MM and FF 'til my finger's fall off, or I need the loo.
My ass! I will believe you if you show a pic of a Spartan in a Gauss, while firing at a Spec-Ops Elite on Boardwalk Custom Games. Anyway, I am gonna play campaign on Legendary with my friends. It's really funny, because until recently I could barely play (Then I got good with the BR LOL) so my friends would almost tease me about my feeble attempts of Legend Halo on Iron. Now, just to prove my awesomesauce, Ima do the whole campaign on Iron with them. PS: The reason I was so bad is I have only had the game about half the time you guys have. Also, I'm not NATURALLY good at shoot 'em ups. I'm best at 3D Mario-ish games, and better than all my friends by a long way.
First I'm going to unbox my game, then im going to crack open some budweiser and play through the campaign then I'm going to play everything else.
