    Amphibious Threat
    Created By
    Predicide

Tired of playing One Bomb assault and only getting to plant it once per round? With Amphibious Threat and the Trisault S gametype, the attackers have three bomb plant points to destroy before the round ends. When the bomb detonates at one objective location, it destroys access to the objective, so each plant point can only be scored once.

The defenders start the round on the wall as guards. But once the wall guards are eliminated, they respawn inside the base as guard reinforcements. Attackers spawn on the beach. As the round progresses, they'll receive vehicles airdropped from Pelicans.

Note that no grenades or explosives are present on this map. Grenades would allow defenders to prematurely destroy access to the bomb arming locations. Below are pictures of each arming location, as well as the destruction that ensues when the bomb is detonated.

This map was designed after the release of Triplex by Kapura, and owes some of its success to Kapura's original game design. If you'd like to check out the map that started it all, download Triplex and Trisault L, which is the 10 minute round version of Trisault.

They work for me, try Firefox if you aren't using it already.

It's pretty fun - not to mention novel and unique - to play an assault variant that let's you plant multiple times. Congratulations to Predicide for the map, and Kapura for the original development of the idea.

Congrats, Predicide! I really enjoyed playing this in the testing stages, even though I was cursing your name for not being able to jump or toss grenades. A complex map like this deserves to be featured, and I'm glad to see its here.

I really like the idea of 3 objectives. It makes everyone more defensive and helps the game flow much better. Nice job

that looks amazing to play, though it looks a little easy for attackers to get to the same object point twice.. the first one might be able to. unless this has been tested?? lol i think its funny that theres 87 or so dl's for the map and 15 for the gametype

Trust me, this map has been tested extensively. It's so easy to say "Oh, it looks like such and such," but remember there is a custom gametype required, which effectively fixes almost any problem you could have with this map.

Shock you forgot to add that Kapura came up with the Idea first and pred expanded upon his Idea.

I think you should put the details about the custom gametype in the first post. Then no one would question the magnificence of this map. =)

Thanks everyone for the support. I hope you get some enjoyment out of this game. Just remember that the high gravity and lack of grenades applies to your enemies as well, and are integral to the game working.

    Understatment.

Thanks Kapura, I can't stress enough that this map would have never been made had it not been for Triplex.

Absolutely! you can hit the points in any order. If you can sneak the bomb around the attackers who are expecting you at point 1, that would be pretty funny. I've never seen that happen before.

Pred this looks awesome! I can't believe i haven't ever tried this out yet! Hopefully soon, yeh? I'm becoming a fan of the tri-assault gametype, its pretty fun. Oh and that would be EPIC if you snuck the bomb to another plant point first. Good job Pred.
