•In the Halo Reach panel at the SDCC Bungie has introduced teleporter adjustments from Halo 3 such as Increasing teleportation circumference beyond the teleporter itself, meaning that a player that touches or is within the boundry of the circumference will have the teleport effect (Like changing the KotH boundry and instead of receiving points, you simply teleport). Also selective teleportation for air vehicles, land vehicles, and players (Set it to only players can travel through, vehicles, all, etc.).

    1. I noticed that in the video the teleporter does not increase in size as the circumference increases, meaning that the player might not be aware of teleporting and for some might be frustrating.

    2. They might also want to change the color for setting the teleporter to selective teleporting, like blue for players, red for land, yellow for air, or maybe a holographic emblem above the teleporter for distinguishing the different types ingame, so that it doesn't "juke" a player out.

well, thats about it... everything else is fine and badazz as usual coming from Bungie.

    PEACE!

I don't think to many people will use the huge teleport zones in normal games and in games they do it will most of the time be noticeable or reasonable.

If its not its just like putting random blocks and kill balls everywhere if its abused and used poorly it wont be a good map, So I think its a good idea and can be used in a lot of ways for people who use it well.

Just set up some type of visual boundary.
I'm sure there will be a system when the game comes out that people can easily identify

Use a shield door, and then place the boundary to be touching the door, that way, when a player touches the shield door. they teleport = Gives the same type of teleportation effect that was used in halo CE. You know the ones with the green squares, except this time they wont be green.

You should make a thread when the game comes out explaining how (for teh idiotz) and then you will get credit?

Heh, Maybe i will. But really the guy who should get credit is whoever invented how you make a door on foundry teleport. Cause its essentially that but simpler with expanded reach on the teleporter. The way you would do it is put the teleport in an unseen place a few feet away from teh door, and just expand the range so it fits just over the door perfectly then build the aesthetics around it like an arch or something. Simples.

I have an idea for it....... use it for a jail. Land vehicles = don't teleport, and make the space it goes into just big enough for mongooses. Prisoner gets onto the back while prison guy's driving, prison guy backs it in, prisoner gets off, and prison guard drives it out. JAILED!

Very useful- I'll definitely be able to pull off some of my map ideas now.

Anyway, I'm sure setting up some sort of visual cue for the teleporter would be easy.
You could do it with pretty much any object that isn't a block, since that would look odd. Shield doors, or even killballs (ooh, a good idea there) could be placed JUST behind the teleporter boundary.
