We can't really use the ascension remake as an example, a lot of those pieces are the hand crafted ones from bungie.

I agree that the increase in prices still doesn't outweigh the massive increase in budget. I'm not concerned with the budget as much as the object-limit. I know there's no "invividual" object limit, but they said there is a "grouping" limit, and you can see that take place if you watch the vids from the comic convention. While we have larger and much more detailed pieces (Insert happy face), its not like we can build and build without restrictions.

the new object limit system will allow for much more objects to build with. it wont be much of a problem unless you are planning on building a map that spans the entirety of forgeworld. you'll run out of budget before you hit the object limit.

If the budget is going to be THAT inexpensable, it'll be lame. I think they're working off a system that involves "More objects within a group= higher price of individual objects." As for the cost of teleporters, I don't understand.

That's what forge world is. What you said was completely of topic and didn't contribute to the thread. **** or GTFO!

On topic: They should have kept the same prices or just said this is how many items you can put down. The budget is kind of stupid.

Well, the budget limit is not that stupid, the main reason its there for is to reduce lag.

I know, but they should just have a item limit so you can only put so many items on a map. Not some weird budget thing. It's not that bad, but why not just have a item limit.

Thad actually a very good thought. Why not have just an OLN and get rid of budget altogether?

a budget only would be more realistic, because some items have more complex designs/structures than others.
so just a budget would be god enough.

Maybe they add the OLN because they know it won't be long till someone figures out a "budget-glitch"

Its really not going to be a huge problem. If you look at some of the maps that Bungie created using forge, there are absolutely huge, and looking at the budget they still had over 5,000 left. I wouldnt really worry about it.

Except that the Forge community don't just build simple maps like bungie's forge maps! Look at the original Sandbox map. Then look at Sentinel. You guys put mad amount of detail into your maps, merging pieces together to make new shapes, ect.... Regardless, not going to be a problem anyways. We should still have more of a limit than in Sandbox (and def. alot more variety of pieces)

Does this really matter? I dont really care for its prices. $5000 is 5x's as big as Sandbox. So What? There is really no point in arguing over a stupid budget. Its a Huge F**king world. And your complaining over a budget. Shame on You! Bungie has given us some amazing things. Really no point for this thread. this is just a complaint.

Listen Kid, don't lose your panties over this! We're just discussing the budget for Forgeworld. If you don't care, then that's cool, but slamming people for talking about the game (in the proper place) isn't. Not sure if you're into forging, but the budget and object limits kind-of matter. So shame on you! lol

Yea bro, what the heck are you talkin about? If the budget isnt big enough, you wont be able to use much of that "huge f**king world". I personally dont think the budget is too small, so im not complaining, though i would be if it was too small

super massive wall thingy is only $10. there goes our need for giant flat floors / walls for indoor maps. kill barrier = no more walls for outdoor maps.
you know how many pieces making a smooth floor took? a ton. now guess how many we need. 1.
you can make a floating BTB in this map, and thats all we need. no hour long racetracks, which will make some people sad.

    An epic Bungie appears.

    Player uses praise!
Bungie thinks its better than Microsoft!

Bungie releases Halo Reach as final Microsoft game!

    Player is stunned, cannot attack.

    Bungie uses Forge World...
    Its super effective!

Player plays demo at Comic con and uses Budget Leak.

    Bungie uses cake.

    The cake is a lie!

    Player has fainted.
