well they stopped making small maps because xbl came out. but hopefully they can put one in for the splitscreeners. someone needs to make a map perfect for 2v2s via splitscreen.
Most smaller maps tend to handle fine down to 2-4 people, xbox live just required maps that can handle more. Even the description of sandtrap says 6-16 players.
Edit: damn it crypto ^ this (above crypto), and have you played 6 on sandtrap? Waste of time, it NEEDS to be at least 12 IMO.
True^ I agree with that. Ever since Xbl big maps are alot more common. Yes. But they still have small maps. Lockout? foundry? heritic? Those are fine for me. And if i need smaller maps i make them
Oh yes, I guess Blood Gulch is a possible idea. However in the case of Boneyard, I doubt it will be used in BTB, due to its lack of symmetry or prominent "Bases" that all BTB maps feature. I think that it, like Spire, will be used mainly for invasion. Even if I happen to be wrong about Boneyard, I am very sure that at least one of Boardwalk or Countdown are BTB. Edit: Here are the bases to prove my point. Longshore: The two raised areas to the left and right. Valhalla: The two bases (duh). Sandtrap: The Elephants (Not so much as other maps I guess). Rat's Nest: The areas next the vehicles, where the flag rests. Original Sandbox and all of it's MM configurations: The two areas with red and blue lights overhead. Avalanche: The umm bases, where you originally spawn. --- Guardian was perfect for 2v2, Swords, SWAT, KoTH. It's all good
I just found out that the Flamethrower will not be in Reach. I'm sad now. Are their any support weapons in Reach at all? I know that Jorge has that chain gun, but I haven't really seen anything else similar.
Jorge's Machine gun turret after its been ripped off, Well there is the covenant equivalent The Plasma Turret you can also rip off. Apart from them I haven't heard of any, I hadn't even heard the flamethrower was out. No flamethrower and no flame grenades that means there no fire weapons in reach D:
Just because those gametypes werent in the beta means nothing about them not being big in reach. Bungie already knows, as long as the game in a whole is balanced, those gametypes will be balanced and not really need to be tested. Also, we just didnt have a BT map in the beta, so there wasnt BT slayer
Fire-based weapons in H3 were stupid anyways. The flamethrower was on ONE map in H3 (or is there another besides Construct? I can't remember now), and there weren't any firebomb grenades in matchmaking. There was no reason to bring them back for Reach.
Does anybody know if Halo Reach will be released at Midnight at some Gamestops? And where do you go to find out which ones?
except for the fact that they were AWESOME. But yeah, I never understood the purpose of the flamethrower, spike grenade, or firebomb grenade other than trying to change the theme or add fire.

Am I the first person to notice that this "jeep" that everyone has been discussing is the same flatbed truck seen in one of the campaign trailers a long time ago
