they should have put MP and campaign on seperate discs, so they dont have to worry about memory issues.
if thats what you're wanting, you're going to be desperately disappointed when you first go into forge. Sorry to burst your bubble.
I think he was joking saying that bungie gave us everything else we wanted. (note his "my weight in gold")
Oh wow, I just noticed that everything he said was "defirmed." Haha. Its a darn shame, they are geniuses. If we have hard AND soft kill zones, why not our weight in gold? I never understood that.
Given how big I am my weight in gold I coud pay to make Bungie give me better forge worlds... But honestly if you can't realize it was what I wanted and KNOW I can't have then lord help you. I am content with Forge as it is... for the most part. Some things can never be quenched. And I really want the bomb plant invasion 1 bomb.... that would be fun and make the game more interesting.
That would have taken them another six years to make, along with technology from 2020+ just to fit that in one game. You guys don't understand that this is the best they could do.
I think you missed the "my weight in gold" thing. In my eyes, that rendered his whole post sarcastic. But you are right, that would take some ridiculous tech to pull all of that off
Not so much sarcasm... but yeah I know I WANT is unreasonable. For the most part. Some features they talked about but removed due to the memory cost. Like functional doors. Which is fine. It just makes us forgers look for new and exciting ways to do things. But I was mostly thinking about what me and a couple of others had talked about when I saw someone saying Bungie gave us everything everyone wanted... not true in the least. But I will say Forge 2.0 has come closer to what I hope for.
Highly improved. But still be wary. I hope that when objects of such quantity are on screen the game will not lag. The new features are extremely nice to have been added though.
It wont lag. Bunge would have lowered the budget if it did. Unless someone physically tries to make it lag it wont. EG: every single item in one place getting shot around by mancannons = lag while every single item in one place = no lag. It may lag a little in forge but I'm pretty sure that with all Bungies new technology it won't in customs it wont. Oh and Bungie didn't add everything we wanted but they sure as hell added a lot and improved pretty much everything. What would you rather have? A rusty car or a near indestructible monster truck with unlimited nos and rocket launches on it? Sure the monster truck isn't 100% indestructible and it can't fly but it's so dam awesome that you wouldn't notice let alone care.
Yea, that's pretty much why I quit. I think I'll try this new Forge World out and see what I can come up with! Can't wait!
hmmm... question: When an object is set to have normal physics does that mean it can move around? Like creating a destructable tower type thing? Or is it just like forge now where once it's done fooling with gravity it decides to stay put?
Thats actually a good question^ He never really answered that or went very far into detail. Edit:but he did say that moveable objects such as fusion coils are around. so im guessing no.
Even though its normal, its still just a scenery object. It wont be destructable or movable unless it is in all physics
Perhaps you can place it in mid air by using the fixed physics (Or whichever one it is that allows it to stay in the air) and then tap X or whatever button brings up the object properties and then change the physics to the one that interacts with the gravity and environment, thus meaning the objects spawn point is in the air, however it will fall when touched or something? Just an idea.
Watch the forge world Viodoc ans you see a stone dragon spewing killballs from it's mouth. So some items apparently have the ability to move that once didn't now.
