Im fairly certain this is the new Transport Hog, in which supposedly you just jump in the back and hold onto the side bars and shoot, no sitting like in halo 3. It looks like a kick ass jeep pickup, and the discussion thread on it made it seem it is Military or perhaps just a kick ass civilian vehicle. But from what iv heard/read on outer colony planets (and reach being a military depot) almost all vehicles will be Warthog like in nature, except the forklift. Anyone heard anything on the little cars from new Mombasa and old Mombasa those things were kick ass i remember the halo 2 mod where you could drive it on terminal. Edit: Notice how the rear is flat looking like the bed of a pickup with the mesh separating the driver and passenger from the flat bed rear end.
Is this old now? But Bungie.net : Bungie Weekly Update: 08.06.10 : 8/6/2010 3:09 PM PDT That's shot down some of my forge ideas
The jeep everyone has suddenly found is not new at all. It's the same thing as the civilian truck shown in one of the trailers but in different colors. I added the picture anyways.
Seriously right. Like when they stop in front of your face, then speed off from a foot away from you, and then get the splatter. Yeah, that sucks.
lol, extreme over exaggeration iRoNy. I think decreasing the speed for splatters is a good idea. With lag it became near impossible to get a splatter and it was just fine without lag. It will still be fine without lag and it will be much better with lag. PS: I'm pretty sure the Revenant has 1 driver/gunner and 2 passengers. I'll look into it in a few.
No they explained there will only be two people in a B.net update. It may be the most recent one, im not sure
That's dumb the specter held 4, and the brute dealy (not chopper other one) held a gunner and driver and 2 side people as well. That's gay if it only holds 2.
"The Revenant is a cherry red Covenant assault vehicle featuring room for two" I am disappointed to say that 1 driver and 1 passenger is true.... My main concern was that it wouldn't be symmetrical but it basically looks like 2 passenger seats. Still disappointed though
Let's not get our panties in a knot over the revenant. Notice that all these vehicles are purple, elite-type vehicles so what are the brutes going to do. There is also a complete lack of passenger capable vehicles in the covenant arsenal. From this imbalance we can assume that there will be a few undisclosed vehicles that make an appearance in Halo: Reach. The elemination of falcon passengers also increases the possibility of the transport warthog in multiplayer. --- I'll update the OP with more images and info tomorrow when I have a real computer.
I do think that maybe three people in the revenant would make a little more sense. just squish the driver in betweent the two passengers. It seems like it would be frusterating trying to angle it so that you can get you passenger into the fight. maybe bungie just wanted another vehichle that can carry an objective carrier, idk
OMG! you just gave me the best idea, I've know the Revenant has one driver/turret controller and one passenger for awhile but I was thinking if turrets are turned off its just a driver seat with a passenger! 2 people in ghost that can't fire! Kinda like a mongoose but more of car seats lol Not really that much but the idea's in my head at moment Might wanna ad this to OP: Vehicles don't heal every bit of damage done to them is perminate. After a certain amount of damage vehicles are put on a timer to automatically explode.
im looking forward to mongoose splatters, if you were going any slower than full speed you couldnt splatter in a mongoose. you basically had to find someone just chilling in a flat straightaway, not looking at you. now a mongoose splatter should be better.
OOH SHINY (updated with many new images) Apparently tomorrow came sooner than expected Splatters will definitely work better for mongoose drivers, but I was miffed we never got to test this in the Beta. Falcon will be epic, but without passenger space it cannot help a flag carrier. I'm sure Bungie fixed this somehow. Thanks...added --- The close up of the gun on the falcon looks surprisingly like this. Automatic grenade launcher anyone?
I think I remember reading that Bungie changed this back to where the vehicle's health is linked to the player. They said something like, "We don't it to feel GTA style".
Yep. I read that too. 100% sure! Oh and race maps are going to be epic with an actual race game type and civilian vehicles!
I don't really care about the vehicle flaws. it's nothing that's going to make the game any less epic for me
I must of missed that, But I hope SOOOO much that your right! Because vehicles really sucked in the beta with that health system.
