Well I read in an interview that one of the missions is a sniping mission, which you do with Jun. As you can see from the picture, he is with Jun, who is also holding a sniper, so I presumed this is the Sniping mission, which would explain the high ammo count.
I wouldn't say its cold it looks like midday and very warm sun out, Unrelated: It's old news though. Still looks fun to drive !
they need that freaking orange trail taken off. if you can't see the grapefruit sized grande bounce off your head then play something else... or use stickies.
I think they made the grenades smaller. I saw this in a video, but I don't remember which one it was...
Honestly, reach would be the most perfect game so far if they left it as it is now but took out the laser.
and if they made every non power weapon except the DMR more powerful and took off the firecap on every gun and made the grenade launcher actually explode when it hits the ground and made the plasma launcher work consistently and made the banshee work and nerfed the scorpion Oh wait Bungie only cares about MLG
You have such a martyr complex, it's hilarious. Get over yourself, you aren't some persecuted victim that Bungie is intentionally screwing over in favor of MLG. A good portion of the MLG forum members believes pretty much the reverse of that, that Bungie doesn't care about MLG at all and just builds the easiest to play most dumbed down game they can. They aren't right either.
You can fire the grenade launcher and time it to explode whenever you want, making it toward it's not just another rocket launcher. And I think bungie has done well to consider the casual gamer. What, did they improve forge and give us forge world thinking about mlg? I also know that those mlg guys LOVE firefight customization
What you played was BETA, was it not? And actually the DMR did what it was suppose to do. Be the best at long range, but for the magnum to be better at medium range and for the assault rifle to be better at short range, instead of BR owning everything. Making the BR replacement a weapon that is only better than the rest at a certain range.. that is as anti-mlg as you can get, isn't it? The Grenade launcher explodes when you let go off trigger. Or if you didn't hold the trigger, it would bounce a couple of times and go off like a normal grenade. What do you mean taking the fire cap off? Sorry I don't understand what your getting at there. The Plasma Launcher was mostly consistent, but once again it was a beta test that you played. The purpose was to find problems like that and sort them out as best as possible, which after 3 months or so, I'm sure they have done. As for the banshee, they were trying out a new way of flying the banshee. Once again, I'm pretty sure you were playing the BETA. And the scorpion.. well i actually never drove it, but as I have said, it was a BETA. The aim of a public BETA, is to try and find problems with the game and sort those problems out and test fundamental parts of the game. So don't flame the game on the few things that hindered your gameplay in a BETA, which most probably have been fixed by now. I don't understand how the game is at all MLG-based. If anything they are trying to move away from the MLG style of play, because of these people are so 'pro' as they like to think, they should be able to play the game the way it is intended, with a variety of weapons. I think Bungie have pulled this off perfectly and they have got an extremely good balance throughout the weapon set. Hopefully MLG will now rethink their whole stance on Halo, and play the game properly.
Ok... If I am guessing correctly at what you mean by "firecap," lets open the game up to modded controllers and see how that goes...
What you obviously don't understand is that MLG plays with their set gametypes because they focus on core player skill (i.e. landing shots where you want them every time, thinking tactically, etc.), which is not embraced as much by default maps and gametypes. While it is reasonable that a true "professional" player should be capable of using any weapon, that doesn't (and will not) sway the fact that the MLG weapon set focuses on skill based weapons. The MLG weapons do in fact include a variety of weapons, however, it is limited strictly to those they think are balanced. You're technically saying that MLG should use the plasma launcher because "it's there when you play the game 'properly'." But since when does the plasma launcher take anything more than looking in a player's general direction and pulling the trigger?
I think it's more a case of being able to analyze and interpret the game easier with fewer variables, ie. number of weapons
MLG uses 110% damage to make the BR more consistent. That rendered the AR and Shotty overpowered, so they were removed, and equipment was removed because it either wasn't needed (grav lift) or drastically slowed down the pace of the game (the others). It wasn't all about getting the "skill guns." They just decided it was more important to make the BR less random than to include spray guns that nobody was using anyway because the Halo 3 AR is weaksauce.
So now that the falcon has been confirmed to hold no passengers aside from the gunners in multiplayer, what do you think happens when someone just jumps inside and doesn't hop on a gun? I hope you can still just hang out in there (but you would probably slide around and fall out incredibly easily). If there is an invisible wall of some sort preventing people from being inside would SUCK.
from the vids ive seen, you dont HAVE to man the turret. You can ride in one of the seats with the flag/objective.
yeah i think they just said that theres only 2 guns in multiplayer, not that those are the only other seats
