I plan to create a map pack consisting of 30+ classic Marathon maps and releasing them to you all. It will be called "Classic Carnage". Look forward to the massive map pack in a month after Reach's release. Also, I found out a teleporter trick using the new tool that was revealed to get that classic Marathon "feel". Here is a image I made for reference. The idea is that you phase the teleporter under the area you want to place it, but alter the dimensions so that it fits perfectly in the area you intended it to be. Just like in Marathon.
My map idea: I'm wanting to make something that is different to the norm; something not on Forge World. Now, I know i'm not the only person to be thinking this, but I believe I am one of the first to come up with a genuine map idea for a map other than Forge World. My idea takes place on Zealot. It is hard to explain what Zealot is like, so watch this video if you haven't already seen it: Halo: Reach - Video Preview: Multiplayer Maps. It is something truly unique. My idea is to turn Zealot into an invasion map. Spartans start in 2 Falcons quite far away in the outside area. The Falcons then have to land and offload the Spartans. The Spartans then have to hold an area which unlocks shield doors that were originally blocking them from going down into the spaceship itself. These shield doors are actually replaced by one-way shield doors. In other words, you can go down into the ship, but cannot return to the top level once doing so (until you die and respawn up there). The Spartans are now able to pick up the core from the far side of the ship but they also need to hold a new area to unlock the one-way shield doors so that they can get back up to the top level. Once this area is unlocked, they need to return to the top level with the core and get in a newly dropped warthog. They then need to drive along a short bridge which extends off the side of the Covenant spaceship and jump over a small gap into the hull of a waiting UNSC Spaceship.
my idea would be to have a lrage building for the red team and a big base for the blue team and i would them make my own versoin of red vs blue it would be called Red Vs Blue The Past
I am going to build an aircraft hangar in the colisseum with AA guns in the pocket and if they are forgable put a pelican or two there. if theyre not then just some falcons and banshees
forge maps + fireflight What frustrated me the most in halo 3 was that i would make these amazing defence bases in forge but i would not have anything to defend it from. Then ODST came out and they introduced fireflight which was basicly a wave defence type of mode. Im wondering if in halo reach they will somehow allow fireflight to be doen in your forge maps. The way i could see this happening would be making a object like the telepoter that you could place in your forge maps that would represent a drop poit for units in the fireflight. that way if i make a defence map i can see how it fares against actuall enemies. Now if this is not possible, then it would be nice if halo reach allowed you to at least do forge on fireflight maps that way that spawning system is already in place, you just get to edit the map and its objects.
My Map Idea I have an idea where one team/zombies shoots rockets at humans while they must protect themselves by shooting the focus rifle. It will be in a circular arena or on the back of mongeese. The idea will probably play best with zealot because you have lowered gravity so rockets may slow down. I hereby copyright this idea so TheHatofWin doesn't steal it... Like it?
It's like the map i think its called halo, but its a giant ring and a zombie shoots at you. Only in this you can protect yourself...
Sorry, but this idea doesn't sound very successful the way you are describing it. What it the goal for the humans if they are moving in a circle...? and why a focus rifle? How do the zombies protect themselves from continuous focus rifle spam? Can you show me your source that told you that Zealot has different gravity than the other maps?
Alright, I'm really into this idea. It's called Factory Workers, and it's a Stockpile Mini-Game. I've sketched up a design of out the map should work. Factory Workers Design Layout The main thing that I'm praying could be in Forgeworld, is convere belts. If not, Hopefully I could make somewhat of a switch. Now look at the Picture. It's a 4-8 Player game. One player on each team spawns in the delivery room, on both sides of the image with the stockpile. All other players want to get the flags onto the convere belts into their teams delivery room. There are two flag drop off points, and more and more flags will show up as the game progresses, making it harder for the factory workers. Take a good look at the picture. Blue team will put a flag onto their convere belt, and Red team will try to grab the flag and put it onto their Convere belt. If anyone let's a flag get past their convere belt, it will be sent into the delivery room to be captured. Your seeing it now? There would be glass walls seperating both teams just for the visuals. A player cannot get through the Convere belt, only flags can. They cannot harm eachother either, so you will just want to grab the flag, and put it on your convere belt as fast as possible. There will be more and more flags as you go, and the game will get harder. First too 6 captures wins.
I can't link it since I'm on my phone, but there is a map on foundry(I believe it was featured) and it involved a switch that used pallets to make a conveyor belt. Forge can surprise you my friend.
