I had no original names but it had two bases and space in between. Thats what blood gulch is right? but this is in the sky so i needed a different name then blood gulch so i came up with Air Gulch. It is really simple no forge techniques not really needed though. This map is symmetrical. vehicles are a mongoose and a warthog which spawns after 30 sec (?). My FileShare it is updated every once and a while and will probably will be remade in Halo: Reach. Map fits 4-8 players. If some one comes up with a better name i might use it.

    Has four game variants:

Slayer: Team slayer with less gravity to jump over barricades (each barricade has a diff weapon)

CTF: flag spawn is on the opposite side of the wall with the teleporter return point is in the middle of spawn

Territories: control all five points located in the middle to win

Koth: control the middle of the bridge to win (default is to 150 points which is short)

Please send some feed back. I might make a Map with a vehicle version but also might just wait for Reach : /

Ok, first things first. This is terribly forged. It would take 15 min to make this map interlocked and even then it isnt interesting. one guy with a solid br could hold the bridge alone. Seccond this map will get the **** spawn camped out of it. third this map would be a cool mini game though. if you would let me i would remake this with you into a mini game. It would be pretty beast. Have it be a king of the hill thing with the entire bridge being the hill. and make it to 150 points. then make the spawn hives inaceesable, so you couldnt camp. Throw some cover on the bridge and poof... done. if your interested send me an xbox live message. GT: AARC Caboose. If your not interested i sugest that you read the forge 101 and 201 sections and redo it anyways. Also put some more interesting cover on the map because barricades and collums are boring. Please consider my offer and i hope this helped :D

Before you act like a straight up asshole, consider some things. He might be new to forge, since hes new to FH as well, and you yourself probabolly have made a map like this. You have like, what, 30, 40 posts? If you want I can point out EVERY single flaw in YOUR maps. (You may be trying to help, but you came on like a ****)

Anyway, a map does not need interlocking, or any forge techniques to make it enjoyable. Just remember that. First off, I'd like to start by saying that this may may not be a competitive map, more so than a casual. This means mainly that it isn't a map to load up and play TS to win. Rather than just have fun. I haven't played it so I don't understand anything gameplay wise about it, but I know damn sure that AARC hasn't played it. With the upcoming Life changer known as Reach, you probabolly wouldn't want to pour your heart and soul into making this map into Greatness. I understand if thats the case.

I suggest just keep doin what your doin for now, but If you want to be a good forger for Reach, you don't need to look up techniques, you just need a great idea, and dedication. Maybe even study what makes and breaks maps, to better your career, but if your just interested in having fun customs, then what you made is perfect. I personally like to have fun games, but usually I play to win, and thats why I make Competitive maps.

If you bothered to read this, or agree, then yay, but if I was off then oh well at least you get where Im coming from.

i remeber back when i made my first map...good times. I think you should check out the forging 101 tutorials on the front page for some good techniques but for a first map i say it looks cleany forged and i did dl it give it quick run through but your going to have to step it up a bit if you want to wow the community. hopefully with reaches improved mechanics you can make something sick. also aarc forge your an asshole. trust me crossfire most of the community is made up of some friendly people dont let guys like aarc get you down just keep forging and with enough practice you'll be just as good as any one else.

I must agree with Given to Fly here, to make good maps really all you need is a good idea and dedication in Reach, which no tutorial will help with.

On to the map itself, yes it would be used for anything outside of having good ol fashion Halo fun, but what is wrong with that? It is not about playing to win when you are having customes it is about blowng eachothers brains out. I think in the future you could make great maps with you're ideas and I hope to see something from you in Halo Reach.

And yes a vehicle version would be epic!

"First off, I'd like to start by saying that this may may not be a competitive map, more so than a casual."
I was going to put it in the casual but i saw the objective under competitive so i put it there

"I suggest just keep doin what your doin for now, but If you want to be a good forger for Reach, you don't need to look up techniques, you just need a great idea, and dedication."
To be completely honest i wanted people to tell me what they thought of the concept and which gametype was there favorite and i will definitely take this advice i had the idea and will definitely better with Reach.

"And yes a vehicle version would be epic!"
for this i was thinking a wider road with no cover in the middle only on sides

    "good ol fashion Halo fun"
what i was going for thanks

"most of the community is made up of some friendly people"
i trust you completely most halo communities and seeing how people started to defend me against AARC just helps your point

and GTF i love your high command map for a while (since it was on halo 3 forges on machinima) it is great and i play it all the time :D
