In the Levelup.com article (a Spanish gaming site) referring to Spire, Reflection, and Zealot there is a little bit more information that I haven't seen discussed yet. It refers to TWO new armor abilities. One of which is hologram, which we all know about, and the other is described as this:

"That's not all you have to do with the multiplayer mode, there are still a couple of surprises, and the next is found in the new adversarial mode of Halo: Reach. The first thing we noticed upon entering was the two new armor skills. One of them is very similar to Armor Lock, but do not block or disables you, only destroys the shield of all those around you, what makes this the perfect ability to attack the enemy base and get the banner so quickly and accurately." (Link to google translate)

Now I'm gonna jump the gun on this one and call this AA EMP Pulse! This not only hints to one additional AA but also corresponds to the long list of AAs from the infamous Beta Code.

I believe we are still gonna get some more info on these additional AAs:

    Active Camouflage
    Ammo Pack
    Armour Lockup = Armor lock
    Power fist
    Repulsor
    Sensor Pack
    Sprint
    Super Jump
    Jet Pack
    Emp Pulse
    Shield Generator = Drop Shield
    Hologram
    Evade

Edit: Some new firefight images have be unveiled, and I believe this may be EMP Pulse.

Now you can compare that screen shot to this video of a drop shield popping. Skip to 38:06.

Hopefully it's balanced in that the range is smaller than the Power Drain and it drains YOUR shield as well as those around you.

If not, I'm going to be pissed as hell considering how exploitable and overpowering something such as a button that automatically drains peoples shields can be.

I doubt it will effect your shields cuz if you miss the ur screwed. It will likely only be a short blast and not last as long as the power drain. I'm sure the radius will be small enough and you'll only be able to use it close range. Unlike the power drain where you throw it and BR a fools face.

Maybe itll have some insane refill time and can only be used twice before it has to refill?
    Sounds cool though.

My guess is that it takes a few seconds for you to be able to continue any actions, including melee or shooting. Think sword lunge.

My guess is this another thing for firefight like the drop shield. In firefight it could really help your team but I'm multiplayer it would be just plain overpowered.

To be honest I believe there we already know all AA's in reach because in the Firefight weekly update They show all the AA's in firefight.

    • ARMOR ABILITY
    • JETPACK
    • ARMOR LOCK
    • ACTIVE CAMO
    • DROP SHIELD
    • [REDACTED] (hologram)
    • NONE
    • SPRINT
    • [REDACTED] (Visor?)
(notice how all in alphabetical order besides jetpack as a throw off)
And I remember reading "Visor" is in Reach and that I guess would be used like a AA.
But that's just my opinion at the moment from what I've seen so far.

Kinda be hard to include more AA's in the future to keep the balance like adding a new weapon in halo 3 right now.

No, VISR mode is not an AA. It was listed on the control scheme as being on the D-Pad, rather than as the Armour Ability.

I hope it drains your shield as well, think about it, have one player with that AA run into a crowd the other team, use it, he dies, taking one for the team, then the rest of your team picks the remaining players off. Team work. :)

I think that would be the most balanced way it could be. It takes skill and teamwork to do it right. And this wouldnt make too much sense as a firefight only thing, especially if it drains your own shields. Theres not many times that a suicide charge is nessasary in firefight

When I glanced again it may be a drop shield popping. I was trying to find a video of it to see if when it pops it puts out that effect. To be continued. I have to go to work lol

I could have swore I never say anything of this sort in the AA section when they were giving a Forge World demo at Comic Con. And honestly, I hope it isn't. This seems incredibly overpowered, and just stupid.

Yeah, I think its just those 7.

EMP Pulse, we've already got the Plasma Pistol and Armour Lock's pulse.
Super Jump, why not just use a Jet Pack?
Sensor Pack, that's probably the radar jammer that was added to Active Camo.
Repulsor, again part of Armour Lock
    ...and Power Fist?

That does look like a Bubble Shield being broken by that nearby explosion in that screenshot

The firefight image in the original post looks like the drop shield because I would expect the emp too look more like a plasma grenade explosion. The image looks exactly like a rocket shot at a halo 3 shield door except this shield door is round

I added a video link (38:06) to compare the screen shot in the OP and footage of an actual drop shield popping.

Has anyone considered REDACTED may be Random in this case? Sure, it's not alphabetical, but Random/None were usually at the start of these kinds of lists.

That's a good idea but wasn't Evade confirmed to be a Spartan AA as well? I think 7 different AAs is enough and it means of the [redacted]s are filled.

This looks like it could be a bubble shield been destroyed or created but at an unusual phase because its a picture. Because there's tank(?) shot hitting it and looks like it has a physical effect on it(blast can't go though) and that's what a drop shield would do. I think Logically a EMP wouldn't effect a tank bullet but if anything it would just detonate the bullet but not protect you or deflect the explosion like you see in the picture.
