Aqua tail is better (90 vs 80) and he cannot have it learn it, as there is no TM or HM for it if he is playing generation 1

But aqua tails accuracy is suspect. Its not strong enough to have the, I think its 90, accuracy? Something near that.

    Thats why most use waterfall.

Thats why you should always carry max repels. I usually try to have 60 around with me all the time.

    My party:

Gallade (Lv 100) - Psycho Cut - Night Slash - Close Combat - Leaf Blade
    -Steadfast
    -Adamant

    Scizor (Lv 58) - Brick Break - X-Scissor - Double Hit(?) - Wing Attack
    -Technician
    -Careful/Adamant

Swampert (Lv 100) - Earthquake - Surf - Ice Beam - Hammer Arm (may change)
    -Torrent
    -Modest

Togekiss (Lv 100) - Air Slash - Aura Sphere - Shadow Ball - Flamethrower
    -Senere Grace
    -Modest/Bold

    Dragonite (Lv 60) - Outrage - Thunderbolt - Fly - Flamethrower(?)
    -Inner Focus
    -Modest

    Aggron (non-existant lol) - Earthquake - Double Edge - Ice Punch - (?)
    -Rock Head

The reason for the level difference, is that I had a party with all around Lv 60-70s (originally Arcanine, Swampert, Meganium, Honchcrow, Salamance, Lugia). I wanted a change though, the new one is a lot stronger ;D (also no legendaries). I love Latios, but he's a legendary - can't be having that!

Gallade's a boss. I have level 100 one as well, except instead of Night Slash, I have Drain Punch. Have you used PP Ups/PP Max on Close Combat? 5 PP is really low, especially if you're playing against a Pokemon with Pressure.

I've never really used Scizor. I have one, but it's not any good, as I haven't ever trained it. I'd give it some sort of Steel move instead of Double Hit. You should've learned Iron Head at level 53.

For Swampert, I'd switch Surf with Waterfall. Swampert's Attack is higher than it's Special Attack.

Is that Togekiss perhaps the Togepi I traded to you a while ago? ;)

The Dragonite looks good. You can go back and learn Fire Punch (heart scale) instead of Flamethrower, but Fire Punch is 20 power lower than Flamethrower... even if Dragonite does have a higher Attack.

    The Aggron sounds sweet.

On my Gallade I use Swords dance instead of Night Slash. After one Swords Dance, Gallade's Close Combat can rip through everything that doesn't resist it, even Skarmory.

Scizor needs Bullet Punch to be effective. If you are playing Platinum/HG/SS, use a heartscale to re-learn it.

Give Togakiss Thunder Wave so it can Flinch everything to death with Air Slash

I would not use a modest Dragonite, attack is his Highest stat.

    Run this
    Dragonite@ lum berry
    Adamant
    -Outrage
    -Earthquake
    -Dragon Dance
    -Roost

Aggron sounds alright, never used him before though.

In terms of practicality, and for the frugal pokemon trainer out there, Super Repels give you more down time per dollar than do max repels. Just throwin that little bit of wisdom out there.

In all honesty, I battle every pokemon I see unless I can't. The experience that stacks up over time, even in the late game, is worth the additional, what, ten seconds it takes to select a move and watch the poor sucker's health bar drain.
    ---
Given I don't know EV spreads and held items I'll just tell you the movesets I like for these guys.

Gallade should have Swords Dance over Leaf Blade. The only benefit that gives is taking out water and ground types and water types are useless. Plus a STAB Psycho Cut after a Swords Dance is wicked powerful.

A Scizor without Bullet Punch is like a fish out of water. Actually, all these attacks are poor choices. You want Bullet Punch, Superpower, Pursuit, and U-turn. That set will do work.

With a Modest Swampert, you want Waterfall, Roar and Stealth Rocks and this should be your lead. You get SR up, and from there, either Roar to scout and collect SR damage or play off of Swampert's sweet attack stat.

You want Roost and Thunder Wave on your Togekiss. This is the set I run and it destroys. Roost gives the guy longevity, T-Wave for the infamously annoying para-flinch strategy, and Air Slash and Aura Sphere cover just fine.

My favorite set for Dragonite is Dragon Dance, Outrage, Earthquake, and Roost. Given Dragonite's solid defenses along with his sweet attack, this set gives him even more bulk and turns him into a beast once he sets up. Get one or two Dragon Dances in and its gonna take a lot to bring this guy down.

I'm not used to running any Aggrons, but I know his bread and butter attack, due to his ability, is Head Smash. Smogon's top choice calls for Head Smash, Aqua Tail, Low Kick, and your choice of Ice Punch or Toxic. For more info about that you can go here.

    I lol`d.

@V: Towards your Super Repel = Less money stuffz, after you beat the E4, it's usually pretty damned easy to get money, I wouldn't expect it to really be useful in the later game.

    @Hazza : I've never caught a Latios/Latias, beast pokemon?

Yeah the Soul Dew makes them so overpowered that when you catch them in HG/SS, They aren't holding it. So all the cool kids transferred their Soul Dews from Emerald.
