In one of the Ferrix Q&A's, he confirmed that the safe zones you place can be disjointed., meaning you can now have 2 (or more) playable areas separated by an invisible kill barrier. I was trying to come up with ways to use that to our advantage while making maps.

My initial idea when thinking about this was, in a puzzle map, to use the kill barriers that warn you to give people a time limit for each stage of the puzzle, or something like that. Hopefully we can come up with some cool stuff.

Everyone else feel free to post what you'd try to accomplish with this idea.

A True air vehicle only battle map. with just a few safe spots to land.

A Bit like he part of Halo 3 campaign where you are taking down the shield generator towers.

After you take yours down and Johnson fails to get his.

i was going to make a air vehicle map, but the barriers just add so much more to what you can limit people doing.

Just with the barriers can you set them to a radius insted of a flat wall shown in comic con?

I would think to make an air vehicle map, you would place two safe volumes (isn't that what they're called?) for each of the bases. Then you would place a large one above those, encasing the entire map, and flush with the top of the ones by the bases. That way you can't walk through the middle. I'm also looking forward to seeing whether or not you can set the safe volumes and kill volumes to TEAM SPECIFIC, thus making infection maps where the humans are limited and the zombies are not, possible.

Well, for sniper battles, you could effectively seperate people and if you want to keep it as long range play, and if they can be spawned in, you could use it as a way to keep people in place for a while. You could also use it in infection as a sort of wall (thus allowing you to shoot through it, but they can't get through) and could be used to keep people seperated in ball games like dodgeball

They said you could set up human safe zones for infection.

I'd imagine that you can set it to square or round, like with King Hills
