    Shield doors are like the ones we saw in Invasion. If they're like the teleporters you'll probably be able to set them up to be one way or only allow certain objects pass through them.

    They showed a vehicle man cannon at Comic Con. It was just a larger man cannon

    I don't understand why people think that. I know speculations started when we saw puddles in Hemorrhage and adjustable water levels was the most believable option if we were going to be able to Forge water at all but those puddles are always there and theres nothing else to suggest water level is adjustable.

    Epic map idea INC!!!!
    Puzzle: The unfinishable path.
    There would be a filter that would stop you from seeing to far away. This helps to stop people from realising whats going on. If you can't do it I'll just make it really dark.
    It will be a almost straight line of paths stretching for ages. Only thing is they will be on a tiny angle! This would make a colossal loop and the player would have gravity into the ground I want them to walk on. With the filter the player couldn't see far enough to figure out that the path was on an angle. The player would be forever looped and have absolutely no idea about it! They would walk that "path" for years and never reach the end...... MINE!!! STAY AWAY!!!! LEET DIBS!!! Wait... If I didn't want anyone to use it why did I just say it. What a douchebag!

    I have not finished reading the thread yet so someone may have covered this but I wonder if the death/battlefield barriers will have a hight setting to them like the hill or territories in H3.

    If so could you make it so only flng vehicles can get from one area to another and still have a large gound area to fight in that cannot be walked or driven out of...


    Also, if we can set objects to be movable (Though I'm not sre where people saw that...) no reason we can't make a platform to fight on that moves about. Conveyer belts? PAH!!!!

    How about a remake of the last level of Gears of War or something similar!!! Epic train fight anyone?

    As for shallow water, Ferrex confirmed it in Q&A.

    And like I said, it was just a rumor. Not saying I believe it.

    physcopirahna6, I think so. I was was having a few doubts but then thought that Bungie wouldn't build such a big land mark and then not let us up to it.
    I think that if the area has grass then we can get to it.

    Those highest cliffs are out of bounds though, that is the definite edge of the map so you can't go up on to them.

    Yeah i gathered that the cliffs are out of bounnds but I think even if wecan't get up there somehow someone will get there

    My computer is being bitchy right now and not loading pics else I would select the exact one I'm talkinig about but in the folowing post there is a pic that could be from the other side of that spire looking back. I noticed it earlier. I Could be wrong though but if am right then the sheer scale of this map puts even outside the perimiter fence of Sandbox, out where the skull is, look like nothing!

    Yeah probably but why were you thinking about Jurassic Park whe you should be thinking about how awesome this is

    Just had a thought: Good luck finding the skull on this map. Hell, there'll probably be five skulls!

    That's exactly what happened! It was so awesome that it cojured up memories of other awesome things from my childhood.

    Go watch that demo again and tell me the part where he's flying towards the the waterfalls doesn't remind you of Jurassic Park when the island first comes into view, with the epicness and the soaring music and the 'Ooh, aah, but then later there's running and screaming'.

    @chaotic: Yeah i realized that those were shield doors after watching part 3 of the bungie comic con panel. It shows what vehicle cannons look like

    Alright, a few questions:
    1) Will there be any interactive geometry? ex. Placeable destructible glass panels, switches, etc?
    2) Will we be able to create moving objects?
    ex. Conveyor belts, elevators, the Zanzibar wheel, the things on Ascension, etc?
    3) Environmental effects?
    4) Free floating objects? (Like a drifting asteroid field)
    5) Equipment and/or powerups like the trip mine and bubble shield?

    2) No.
    3) Nothing like rain or snow but the FX Orbs return, along with a few more like "Purple" which makes the map look like its at night.
    4) Floating objects as if they're on water but in the air? No.
    5) No. But you can place Armour Abilities like equipment.

    1. Nope.
    2. Possibly, we could in Halo 3, although they were primitive.
    3. Yes, but only visual. No weather.
    4. Nope, they will either remain fixed or fall to the ground. No "no gravity" objects.
    5. Yes, but they are Armor Abilities that you can pick up rather than equipment. Also, there is a Custom Powerup we will be given to use as well.

    The only thing i am disappointed about is the lack of the ability to swap the palettes of the objects,
    what i mean is to be able to change your set of objects to be something like:
    Forerunner, Covenant, or UNSC... all the same objects, just different texture palette

    That would have been great.

    I wish we could group sets of objects so it'll be simpler to move areas of the map without having to replace every piece

    This and Titmar's pallette idea are my only genuine complaints. That and simple moving objects/switches (elevators, conveyor belts) would be all I could really ask Bungie for now.
