except, on sandbox, with a 1500 budget, they cost atleast half of that, and now were gonna have a 10000$ budget. I don't see money being an issue at all.
Regardless of the higher cost Pinohkio is correct, the new budget is insane compared to Halo 3's and We've already seem that they remade blackout, ascension, Sanctuary, and Wizard entirely out of the new forge. I don't think its that limited
I genuinely hadn't noticed that in the video until I read this post just now. This was glossed over in to a 2 second long clip for why? All of this angle snap and finer movement stuff is great, loving it, but we get actual numerical coordinate options too? They listened man, they really listened.
That sucks for maps that aren't based on catwalks though. The one item type I haven't seen that I'm desperately hoping for is an item with a railing on just one side, to border a floating but still solid grounded map like Cynosure or my planned first map, a larger scale remake of Genome.
A thought occurs to me. What if, and I suppose this is perhaps a big "if", what if someone manages to budget glitch this? I expect Bungie to have fixed that, but we have some resourceful people here.
Hm, true.. Also, has anyone figured out what those little yellow crosshairs are? e.x: Player is phasing an object through the ground. Once it gets to a certain depth, little yellow crosshairs appear at, what seems to be, specific points on the object. I really have no idea what it could be..
I assumed they were just reference points to help you work objects closer together when not phasing them.
I think the yellow crosshairs are there so you can see where the object is, while on the opposite side.
If you've seen the entire comic con Bungie panel, even more really cool Forge things have been revealed. You can now edit teleporters to either accept ground vehicles, flying vehicles, etc. There's a 'safe volume' and 'kill volume' which are the names of the Death barriers. Safe volumes let you set an area where if you leave that area you receive a "Return to battlefield" message. The kill volume is the standard death barrier, where any area outside of that will end up in your death. In case you also haven't heard, Forklift's are drivable. There are manyyyy lights now. For example the original blue and red. Now we have purple, green, yellow, white, and flashing lights where they blink. There are vehicle mancannons, totally boosting you really far. So yeah, epic win Bungie. Edit: I forgot the biggest announcement. You can now have 1000 of each file type. Yes, 1000 screenshots, 1000 maps, 1000 gametypes, 1000 firefight gametypes, 1000 films. Practically unlimited fun.
I can't seem to find the moment where they show that in any of the videos. Hopefully other civy vehicles are in as well like trucks, cars, and what not. As well as a troop Hog. The yellow crosshair I have to believe is it you accidentally move a phase object completely into a wall. You could pull it back out. Also the 1x1 block isn't the only item worth $10. Almost all of the size black were all $10. Also did you see the Cage map still had $3325 or something? And that was a massive well designed map
1000... of each file type? holyshitholyshitholyshitholyshit Wow, I have a ton of ideas. One of them is... an oil rig type structure above the water. Or a massive fortress on a cliff! And a night time survival based map on the island! Also, a huge map taking place across all of Forge World! Yes, I'm pretty excited. I'm hoping for a snow themed Forge world, maybe a covenant themed one.
Anyone know if the custom save limit is lifted or how much it is? Like how we were limited to Halo 3 that really bugged me.
Its in one of the most recent Invasion vids. And Willmatic, Playahata mentioned a lift on the custom limit about three posts up.
Absolutely speechless. Honestly. I can't get my head around this. It's too much. All I can understand is that this is incredibly awesome.
