WTF you make a list of maps you want remade and dont add Hang 'em High?????????? GTFO NAOW AND BURN!!!!!!!!! Hang 'em High easily deserves to be at the top of that list and anybody who thinks otherwise is not wanted! EDIT: Oh you just took halo 3 maps plus two random ones from H2 that they already made. BTW they remade Lockout, not Blackout. Blackout has a few differences (ie it needz moar library.)
Blackout was terrible compared to Lockout. Anyway, yes, Hang em High. Also the island portion of Forge World looks to be very close to Death Island or Danger Island or whatever the hell that Halo CE map was called.
That was my first thought as well. I was annoyed that they didn't remake Hang 'em High. And I am not sure why you would want H3 maps remade. You can still play it after Reach come out, you know. I would much rather see some more stuff from Halo CE. For some reason, I wouldn't mind another Chiron TL-34 or Boarding Action.
Thats what it was based on Noxy ;D And I just decided that i WILL do hang em high, but i recently learned that im not the best at remakes so idk how it will turn out. I normally get inspired halfway through by something cool that i did and get sidetracked then forget about it...
Agreed on both. I wanted to do Chiron in H3 but quickly realised that you don't get enough teleporters, hopefully Forge World will be a different matter. Boarding Action would of course be awesome if it could be done properly (which I could well believe, pending height barriers), needs to happen.
I'm thinking it is that island but with a lot of stuff removed (stuff that I'll be placing when I get Halo: Reach ). Also, I'm just gonna add some stuff that need to be remade.... Hang 'em high (already mentioned) Beaver Creek (Seriously, it'd be awesome with jetpacks and stuff) Coldsnap (Not built into Halo:CE, but it was a mod map someone made on the PC version, and it was awesome. Replacing the Pelicans with Falcons and stuff [or if you can place Pelicans...])
Any of the maps from Singularity (Not Canal that one is dumb, Did you see what I did thar?) Oh if this is Halo remakes only I guess I will change it to Silent Cartograoher, on the part where you just enter the temple thing. On the cliffside close to where you fight the hunters.
Pretty sure in one of the videos (gamespot maybe?) Bungie mentioned that that island was perfect for making huge U shaped maps like Avalanche and Sidewinder. It has the inner caves required to do that.
I want H3 maps because I think the new physics and loadouts could really add a new dimension. Think, for example, jet-packing to the top of the Valhalla towers and sniping people, or armor-locking from a rocket on Blackout. I know you can play them in H3, but imagine, first of all, how many people will stop playing H3. Second of all, new gametypes, like Invasion, would be fantastic on a map such as Sandtrap Also, imagine if by 2011, we could have every single Halo map ever, all in one game. I have focused on the H3 maps, because I think they would be most effective with the new engine. I also really hope they remale Black-Out, because, thoough it was crap in H3, the Reach sandbox would allow for a more diverse battlescape. One thing I would also like would be map expansion. Think what The Pit would be like without a roof, to allow more diverse tactics. And with the improved sandbox, additions like a Rocket Warthog, a Falcon and the Repeater could make a simple slayer gametype on Valhalla, which would be perfect for the ForgeWorld layout by the way, even better.
A boarding action is now a very likely map to be made. Most of the maps you listed though would still appear to be hard to remake exactly, specifically Sandtrap, Valhalla, Construct,etc. I feel we'll get some maps influenced by the great Halo multiplayer maps with a new feel. What I really want to be honest is a Zanzibar/Last Resort. Out of all the remakes of Halo 2, Last Resort in my opinion was the best. I'll be spending time on trying to find an area to remake my beloved Zanzibar. The wheel is going to be hard though....
The wheel from zanzi/last resort would be easy to make but from what we have seen at the moment hard to make son around if not impossible
What the ****? What map is that? That looks amazing. I feel like I should have played H2vista now. Are there more exclusive H2vista maps like this?
