No even if its on instant respawn there is still a split small amount of time where it allows something to spawn, then it spawns it self.
I realize that, but you can't just alternate the grav lifts depending on what one you blow up. Example. GL X is placed 1st and Y is placed 2nd. runtime min/max=1/2. If only Y is spawned and I destroy it, X appears, if I then go on to destroy X, it respawns. Destroying X will not respawn Y. I have tried this very many times, all with failure, it is just the game mechanics, one GL takes priority.
Wow thats REALLY cool i love the door im gunna use that to make some maps I never woulda thought of that!
ive been trying to get a good 1 of a kind casual map going for some time now... i think this will give me the ability to make one now.. but i do have one question.. is there any way you can have (instead of a dumpster) fusion coils drop.. or after you pick the powerup up, it drops things in multiple locations? such as i grab power up, walk into room, and dumpsters drop on all sides.. so im forced to sit and wait for the dumpsters to respawn as my only way out.. (or meleeing the dang thing over and over again..)
The drawbridge uses a switch where two grav lifts are destroyed and another two spawn pushing the dumpsters across the gap. YouTube - Halo 3 Forge |: Working Drawbridge Switch :| Heres the download for the map so you can take it apart and remake it. Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details Have fun - I made a working one apart from one teleporter was a bit off and the dumpsters got stuck. Feel free to email or add me on live for any help or ideas.
Would it be possible to make a switch to spawn multiple objects? For example, have a switch inside a building that, when activated, spawns a Fusion Coil Airstrike to rain death upon a city's streets? Or is that too advanced for Halo 3 Forge?
LMAO, Nice bump bro. Yeah it is possible, but only possible for half of the said object. Eg, you have a fusion coil, you blow it up & somewhere hidden are 7 other fusion coils which will blow up with it, they are all using min max so when they are destroyed, 8 fusion coils will spawn in the air. Just research MinMax, I would have linked you to H3ARTIFICER, but that's gone now R.I.P
So you mean have them instantly respawn after the first Fusion Coil blows up? That could still work, but wouldn't it make an infinite airstrike then?
Actually, if you really wanted I have a fully functional remote control airstrike that drops for 10 seconds then stops. It resets every 90 seconds. How to make a reusable min-max: Make X objects to be force spawned, set to spawn at start: no, 180 respawn Make X objects to be destroyed, set to spawn at start: yes, 10 respawn Set runtime minimum to X When you blow up the second group of objects, the first set will always respawn until the second group respawns (10 seconds later) The first objects of a kind you place in a round will always spawn if forced before the last objects you place in a single round. By using this twice we can make a remote control airstrike. Make a radar jammer (no, 180) that is set up to spawn inside a fusion coil, pushing it off of a ledge to blow up the rest of your fusion coils in the switch. Then make a second one (yes, 90) on the map that the players will pick up. Then set your fusion coils to the list above. Place the first group of fusion coils in the sky to rain down. Now you have a 10 second remote control airstrike.
Meh, I was just pointing out how it was possible. It's sad how little advanced forging techniques like this were incorporated into maps. I hope we will see more of it in Reach.
