Sandbox Galvin's House V2

    This is a remake of my cave map, (we make fun of my friend Galvin because he looks like a caveman.. so i named it after his house). This is basically a whole new map, i replaced almost every item to make it look better than ever. surpirsingly its bigger than the previous version and both are maxed on items.

    This is a view of where the gravlifts bring you to. Picture is taken from the Middle.

    This is the Middle. All the Tunnels connect to this area. Picture taken from where the gravlifts bring you up. Room on top left is where needler spawns. crouch jump to get to the platform above the middle. Where the old rocket room is, there is a gravlift that takes you up to the needler room. (on the left side of picture) You can jump on the ramp shorts on the right and get into the needler room or just a hight advantage.

    Another View of the middle and The Hole. (note, if you go in the hole, i made it so you cant get back into the middle). The hole where the brown guy is leads to the rocket room. (different rocket room than last version) the ramp on the left leads up to the room above that hole, where the bruteshot spawns. it also wraps around and leads back down to the Middle. Across from the Bruteshot spawn is a drop off that takes you to the Rocket Room.

    The Rocket Room. This is where the drop off and the hole leads to. you can see the hole on the top right. picture taken from where the drop off takes you. Shotgun spawns in the blue columns down the hall. that hall leads to the tunnels that take you back up to the main level.

    These are the lower tunnels. they connect to the hallway where the SMG spawn is and to the shotgun hall and up to the BR room. Mauler spawns at the bottom of these tunnels.

    This is the BR room. it looks down the tunnel lower tunnel (the tunnel that wasnt shown in last picture) This room is a lot bigger than in the last version. bubble shield is now up in this room.

    THis is the view without the roof. Gravlfits on the far left. Drop off on the bottom right and the BR room on the top right.

    Lower level without the wall. Rocket Room on the right, tunnels leading up on the left. the middle(ish) area is where the blue columns that the shotgun spawns in are located.

    PLease tell me what you think, share your thoughts.. also please play the map before you bash it.. i hate it when people just dis it before playing. smiley face.

    Definitely an interesting map. My only complaint from a forge through is that there's only 1 way out of rocket room. I hope to get some real games on it soon to see how it plays.

    It looks like it improved alot since V1! Although it does look like there's a lot of power weapons (The map might actually be bigger than the pics show, so maybe not), it looks like it'd be great for some 2v2s or 3v3s (or maybe a 1v1, me and my friend do 1v1s on Guardian, so it probably would work). I haven't DLed cave maps before, mostly because most of the ones I see aren't all that good(no offence other cave map making people). I'll edit this with a full review when I do a 1v1 on it with my friend.

    thats the only thing i dont liek about it too. i just didnt know what to do. and i ran out of items. I wanted to do a teleporter. but i felt like that would take away from the cave feel.

    I can definitly agree with this. It is an interetsing map, that has some really nice asthetic features.

    The only thign I can recommend as MickRaider said it to add another entrance way in an out of Rocket Spawn to prevent that room from becoming a campers hideout.

    Ok, first off, can everyone please stop repeating what MickRaider stated about rocket room because Marcass2021 doesn't need three different people saying the exact same thing.

    Now onto the map.

    One of the reasons I love cave maps so much is because these are one of the few types of maps that actually have to be extremely carefully thought out and well forged, or the whole concept will be ruined. For instance, if you just merged random objects together with no plan or layout while trying to make a cave, you might get many unintended dead ends or spaces that are too cramped to fit in, which greatly affects gameplay. My point is that the fact that you have a cleanly interlocked cave that is playable and has a good layout obviously shows that you put a lot of work and effort into making this, so I give you props for that. However, because it is a small enclosed cave, isn't having a rocket AND shotgun AND brute shot all on the same map a bit too overpowering?

    there are 3 ways to get in but only 1 way out. since i am maxed on items ill get rid of a coupls spawns and add a 1 way teleporter from the rocket room, to the BR Room.
