Whats up guys, its been a longggg time since I have posted on here, due to a very busy school and work schedule. Since its summer and I am currently on vacation from work, I've finally had the time to mess around in forge for the first time in about a year. Over a year ago I made a track called PIT OF DOOM. Its a fun track, but it was back before I knew all the forging techniques, especially ghost merging. I decided to fix this track up, merging tons of pieces into the sand to make the map smoother, as well as clean up the looks. I also added in new aesthetic elements around the track, such as a cave, fixed bridge, etc. The main highlight of this track is the large backflip jump. Sometimes you do a backflip, sometimes you do a barrel roll. Depends how you hit it. I'll let the pictures and video explain the rest. Enjoy! start of track is a set of whoops next you go up a ramp, then across a bridge into a small cave next you have a straight away followed by sandy banked turn you then jump over the straight away you just did which leads to the huge backflip/trick jump up a large hill down the hill and around the corner, aproaching the PIT OF DOOM jumping over the PIT OF DOOM which leads you to the final jump at the finish line overview And of course, to really get a full view of the track, check out the video: YouTube - Halo 3 Sandbox Racetrack: Pit of Doom v.2 DOWNLOAD Pit of Doom v.2
The some parts are really sloppy like this That just looks really bad. you need to do some touch ups on the map.
Ya I know, I need to touch up that last section of that hill. Did everything else except that part, hadn't had the time to do that yet though. It will be taken care of though, don't worry.
Did everything else except that part what. It's kinda hard to answer your question when we have no idea what you're asking.
WTF^^^^ Kid stop being a ****, he was replying to JPeloquin. Take time to read other's post's before oyu make a random statement like that. Onto the Map: I like the oldschool feeling you get from this map, kind of like the old block-style maps on foundry. Some of the parts, like JPeloquin said, need to be fixed up a little, but overall it looks like it owuld be a fun track to race on with my friends.
Lol looks like spam. but this map looks really great. there are a few sloppy parts such as toward the beginning. good show.
DUDE, WTF are u talking about kid? That made no sense whatsoever. Nobody even asked a question. Go spam somebody else's post. Better yet, just shut up and dont post anything.
C3WL map 1'll DL. Judging by the pictures and video, this racetrack is unique because this is one of the few maps on Sandbox that aren't ghost-merge based (search Back Burner you'll know what i'm talking about). It's looks great to because the smooth runways, turns and ramps. I like that you used the terrain to your advantage. These old school race maps are awesome.
I would recommend getting to a more completed version before posting it here. Share with friends to work out the initial kinks. You will get a much better review that way. So far looking good but still needs a lot of work.
KNEE TO FACE- I loved your Fossil Canyon map soooooo much that I made a version two of it. But, my way of course. It would be really cool if you could look at it with the next few days and help me get word out about it. Your maps are awesome and original and hopefully you could make a version two of your Fossil canyon map as well. Other than that, nice map!
