Wow, get windows 7, then it will be fast and sexy as a dolphin on steroids!

I had to tweak my drop-down menu so it would stay to the right of the tabs, and I changed it to blue and transparent! :3

I have to disagree with the OP... The beta is significantly slower than FF3.6.6...
I also don't like the simplified menu, its like they are trying to hide options or something. I went back to 3.6.6 after about an hour of disappointment with FF4...

The only improvements are the updates for HTML5 and CSS3 support, and the slightly faster startup time :(

    Oh god.

**** just got real. Seriously. I think this beats the pants off of Google Chrome in terms of speed.

I am so confused... Everyone says that FF4 loads faster, but it loads pages slower on my machine... Are we talking page loads, or start-up time?

    Your joke makes me chuckle.

Google Chrome is more minimalistic allowing for a better view of the page, scores 100/100 on Acid3 (Compatible with more stuff) and has a better tab system.

    Oh, and it's still faster.

Just did a little test by myself, Google Chrome is faster.
I could tell that Google Chrome is faster by just a like, half a second.
I really like Firefox 4's UI though, it looks great.

I still really like Google Chrome though, and it's still sticking as my default browser.

I just tested out FF4, Chrome AND Safari, and found that Safari opened up pages quicker on mine? I'm using Windows and it's surprisingly fast...

Different people will notice different things. Chrome is still amazingly fast, and I think that Firefox 4 is around the same. I still like Chrome's layout better, though, so I'll stick with Chrome.

Silly noob. Chrome's speed is the only thing going for it. Chrome only recently adapted add-ons and customization which is still limited compared to Firefox's. Firefox's built in spell check and pop-up blocker are one of it's many perks, and studies show Chrome's #1 for Most Crashes. On the few occasions Firefox does crash there's an option to restore all tabs. Chrome's speed is the only, and I mean only thing going for it. GTFO.

Can I hear an amen for Firefox.

You've obviously never used Chrome, or had it crash on you.

    Which is hilarious. The irony.

In my (limited) experience with the FireFox 4 beta, I have seen significant load time problems. For example, I can load ForgeHub in under 1.5 seconds with FireFox 3.6, while it can take over 5 seconds to load ForgeHub in FireFox 4.

I have, if anything your ignorance is hilarious. Do your research. Chrome is the only browser that loads each individual tab as it's own source, hence when it crashed you lose the tab rather than the window, but regardless you can't recover it. In the end Chrome you lose something, with Firefox you don't. I have Chrome, IE, FF, and Safari, I've experimented with them all, I'm not being bias about it.

One thing I DON'T like about FF4 is that, on W7, if you have multiple tabs open, it'll act as more than one window on the Superbar, which I do not like.

MultiLockOn, I didn't even have to respond for you to obviously find out how biased and wrong you are. For example, Google Chrome does have a built-in spell checker but you were so determined in proving your point that you made yourself look like an idiot by not doing your research.

By the way, Google Chrome doesn't shut down the entire tab when a single plugin crashes.
